yeah, like one that has been drinking polluted dioxin and furan infused river water from the eleventeen thousand pulp mills or hydrocarbon poisoned puddles and streams.

the only time one can make comments like that is if you are one of those scraggly bearded freaks that grows their own veggies and NEVER buys ANYTHING from a store to use as foodstuffs.

True enough, the deer you take may have some some unknown substances. But if you pick your area theirs a good chance your getting very little, don't go kill a deer downstream from some big pollution plant that sits right beside the river that the deer drinks from. But for people to say that your "eating all organic" because the food they buy at wal-Mart had a little sticker saying so, is just becoming part of Marketing hype. Your getting a lot less preservatives and stuff by killing a deer in the middle of
Know where then you are buy eating some Steak that's been ran through a big factory Or Something.

[/COLOR]soooo if a moose or deer were ugly like a cow apparently it would be ok to hunt it? im sorry im not one to get into this greenie saviour crap but thats an ass comment, and animal is an animal some are prettier than others its that simple some choose to hunt for there meat rather than fork out an arm and a leg for the crap you buy in the stores, me personally love to take the time to hunt and gather my food for the sake of the beauty and realness of the the outdoors and the satifaction to know that animal i just harvested was treated with respect and gone to a good cause

Do I need to explain to you the difference between a red fin sucker and a dolphin. Or a field mouse and a wolverine. How about a dump eagle and a snowy owl. Anyway. I wasn't hating on hunters or any others recreational passions. Its just that when I quad or sled and see huge moose or elk. Personally I've never looked at them as food or a wall trophy

man, there's a guy up here that owns the local butcher shop and they call him Johnny Sausage. if you try a chunk of his moose metwurst, you'll never look at a swamp donkey the same way again.

I work in the patch, My old man cut down trees for a living, We hunted together as much for "SPORT" as "FOOD" at the beginning of the season were are looking for the trophy animal and near the end we just want to fill our tags and get our meat. Does this mean were bad people?

Don’t get me wrong, I buy 95% of my food on my hunting trips down town and I do love the meat from the local butcher shop.

Like with any group, sport, hobby, race, creed and so on there are always a few or more "bad apples"

not in my opinion. the one reason I still hunt once in a while is to hang with my pops.

I trophy hunt, never see anything and cost lots to not shoot, I can buy top of the line meat for what most people spend hunting. Maybe this yr.....Good luck to all.

If your going to kill it take it with you and process it, that would have been a disgusting find and an inhuman way to go out. Just seams like a waste. And I don't think it paints a good picture for hunters but I bet the Greenies say the same when they come across a 100 ft mud hole chewed up by quads and bikes

Original post looks like a bad shot from a treestand with the arrow. Hopefully hunter shot with rifle to put deer out of it's misery. Doesn't look like a good rifle shot either lol, at least the deer is no longer suffering. I imagine the meat was tainted and thats why it was left for coyote food. Got to remember people at the end of the day it's just a deer. They are worse than rabbits imo, the fewer the better. I hunt for fun and if I'm fortunate to harvest an animal i enjoy everything afterwards from cleaning to prepping and making cool stuff, jerky, sausage etc.

It looks healthy otherwise, I dont think it's jaw was missing for long, which is a good thing. Maybe the two rifle shots were from the same hunter??
