Wanna go RIDIN?????

I want to go riding on Saturday, anyone want to go? Where, and what time? I am around the Westlock area, and there isnt any snow around here, not enough anyways. So, was thinking Swan Hills??? Whitecourt??? Athabasca??? Drayton Valley??? Anyone in these areas have a snow report and wanna ride???? I plan on leaving here Saturday at 8AM the latest, so I need to know tonight or early tomorrow evening. :d

robb area seems to still have snow. it didn't get as warm to the west of edm. snow is still soft where its not tracked out by my place at seba beach but really tracked up. haven't seen any reports from swan lately which probably means its chitty. have a good ride.

Hi Mare....I called over to Swan Hills ....to inquire about snow conditions. Was told pretty iffy on trail system....they did a bunch of Cat work and pretty tore up in sections...about 2 feet at Goose but well used and have to be careful. Apparently everyone is going there....so really used up I guess from what I've been told. No new real amount of new snow and well rode....might be able to ride House Mnt but couldn't get ahold of anyone thats been there is the last week or so....apparently lightlly snowing in Swan right now....sucks around Slave but haven't been up to Marten Hills latley either. No new snow in a month....but I guess a slow ride on hard pack is better than no ride at all....wished I had better news...maybe all our peeps out there are tellin a person that so we don't go....savin it for themselves . LOL. Don't think so thou ...

I herd marten hills was good but I haven't been myself, goose tower has the snow but u gotta go far if u want anything good. I would stay away from house mountian i was there last weekend and we could only ride along the highway. I'm thinkin about driving up to marten hills for a look today I'll let yas know if I find anything

Thanks for the info. I will wait and see if anything developes tonight. Then we will decide where we are going. Had a dusting of snow today, very depressing.

I am up by GP right now....about 8" off soft snow. More around the treed areas. Wouldn't be bad way to waste a day. Actually think the Valleyview area would probably be alright too. Hope you find something.

Its trying to snow here as well. I think Guy and I will just hit the ditches tomorrow. Its not great snow but its snow all the same. Just hate skinny snow with big lug tracks.
I will e mail you in the morning and wait to hear a snow report. Thanks for the report on Swan Hills earlier. I was hoping to go there but not worth it if the snow is not there. Chat with ya tomorrow. :d

I was talkin to guys in swann on sunday and they said goose was awsome! he rides a M8 so I don't think he was liying. I'll be going up there eather sunday or next weekend. I'll take my camera and show u the snow that nobody thinks is there.

Well, we didnt have much snow, but we ended up riding around Westlock. Some ditches, tree lines, ect. Hooked up with a fellow S&M'er, WAKA. Was here from Red Deer. Awesome guy, had a blast. Going again tomorrow before he heads back home. Here's a few pics, was getting dark, but will get some more tomorrow during the day light. First one is my ol' man, second one is WAKA and the last one is ME. :d ( Excuse the chitty pics, it was getting dark)

Not much to ride on between Westlock and Secondary hwy 663. We banged the ditches to the Fawcett husky and it is pretty slim pickins. The trails from 663 through the grazing reserve are full of F$%%&&%*ing rocks !

The trans - Canada trail in this area is very hard packed, need scratchers to ride it.

Keeping our fingers crossed for some more !

I went sledding today ^, I found some knee deep stuff! I rode from just west of st.albert to morinville, and I rode the sturegen river. PRAY FOR SNOW!! it was ok but I had to go alone all my budies are busy. I need to find more riding budies.

That was a great day.. we found a bit of powder... not a ton but still had fun... I saw you the morinville to st albert guy too... along 44 .. should have picked ya up i guess.. lol
