Replay shows it clear, Seabrook looked and turned his head. It wasn't from behind, not boarding or elbow to the head. The game moves so fast that by the time both were committed to the play it was too late to back out. Will agree Torress has thrown some dirty hits in the past but as the rule states he was in the clear, maybe he beat the system but the league found him not guilty.

Im not saying Seabrook did it on purpose and Torress for sure ment to hit him whether it was with his head down or not is something you would have to prove. Starting to see many guys turn their backs or lower the head in hopes to draw the penalty, some times it works and sometimes you get your butt run over.

The NHL is a bunch of frigging idiots, they obviously didn't even watch it. Seabrook didn't touch the puck, that alone on a questionable hit should be automatic suspension because of intent to injure on a unsuspecting player.

I hope Chicago just says F the series and returns some of the dirty plays the canucks have dished out. They still have to get through 60 minutes.

Torres is dirty as hell, he hits people to hurt them. How many times has he done it? Look at the time the detroit guy was taken off the ice on a stretcher. Big difference between hitting to take someone out of the play, and going out to hurt someone. It's just not called for.

With someone like that on your team, and the coach supporting that play, the canucks have nothing to complain about if one of their players gets run and taken off on a stretcher, or anything like that. They've got it coming.

And if he still played for Edmonton and they were making a cup run?? I wonder if your response would be the same. As Don cherry says "KEEP YOUR HEAD UP BOY" it's a mans game!Five years ago that would have been cheered as a great hit and featured on rock em sock videos.

its so easy to judge it in slow motion, but in real speed seabrook was going after the puck, and torres collided with him. it happens to fast. if i recall a few of canucks guys have sustained concussions in regular season, one in fact from getzlaf with no call on the play. it happens.

Kunitz will get suspended because of a idiotic cheap shot that was totally uneccessary. Downey will probably get suspended too for leaving the ice on his hit to Lovejoy and that is not the first time he's done it.

I thought the same. It is getting ugly out there but that is playoff hockey with so much emotion and adrenalin running thru those guys.

They both got 1 game suspensions, I think Kunitz's elbow to Gagne's head should have got a few more but that is playoff hockey.

It'll only take one more game. Canucks just couldn't stay out of the p box. And i beleive most all of the hawks goals have been on the power play. Some of the penalties were pretty cheap and some were poor discipline by the nucks. They just wanted to get one more game at home and finish off the hawks at home in front of there fans..

Funny how the others believe he should of been suspended, only cherry is against it. 9/10 I agree with cherry but he is dead wrong here. Your responsible for your body just like your stick. There has to be some respect for fellow players. Eventually someone is going to get hit wrong like that and end up paralyzed or something and THEN they will finally do something.

But whatever torres is playing with fire. Someone on chicago is going to catch him in the wrong spot and run the hell out of him and he deserves every bit of it.

Canucks played horrible but what is up with the refs??? Stupid! I could see if I was biased myself but 8 people watching with me all agreed these refs sucked! Amateurs. They should have not interfered with Torres/Scott. It is not the job of the ref to decide the outcome of the ice chirping. Just my 2 cents worth

So what was the point of letting them fight?? The game was already decided and there was nothing else to prove, take your loss and move on. Good decision by the refs to not let them fight IMO, they can always go after it in the next game. So much for that sweep some of you were bragging about.

Did you watch the game????? The last 3 goals alone were on the PP.. The nucks didn't play there best but the reff's handed that one to the hawks with the massive penalties to the canucks. Sedin's aint been hidin at all. So i guess if the nucks aren't good like you say then the rest of the NHL just laid down to let them get all the first places in stats in so many categories & finish #1 overall in the points standings.

It aint goin more than one more game and the canucks will slaughter the hawks. They just wanted to finish it off at home in front of there own fans!!
