watched the game last night against Calgary. I must say I feel sorry for Iginla and Kipper. They need to be moved to a cup contending team as is looks like they will not have any hope in Calgary. On the other hand, I hope last night's play from the Canucks is here to stay.

october is done isnt it!!!

Once canucks build momentum and start gettin on a role they'll be tough to beat forsure. All the oiler hype goin on is ridiculous, sure they're playing good now but they always fizzle out by xmas once the good teams get rollin. Happens every year.

The cap actually makes him more tradable then ever. Do to the minimum salary a team can have. He would actually be a perfect fit in a smaller hockey market like florida. But im not willing to give up on him just yet.

its actually 12 for 64m. Its front end loaded. He will get 6.7 for the next 7 years then down to 3.3 then to 1.3, he is a 3 time vezna finalist, 2 pearson award winner, a hart trophy, and a jenning nominee. Not to mention a silver jounior medal, 4 world cup golds and a olympic gold. Thats seems to be alot for any one person to accomplish.

The other side there are escape clauses in the contract that Vancouver or lou can exercise after the 5th year

No Stanley cup though i see............. I am glad the nucks are willing to pay him for what he HAS done , most teams are more concerned with what he WILL do ,which is polish the pine by the looks of it.............33 million for a backup , way to go nucks...........I bet GM~S everywhere are counting the days till they can pry him out of van.
He can always become a goaltending coach in Boston , or not........................He is about as likely to be traded as the sedins are to push around the bruins........................

And if the playoffs would have started a couple of weeks ago, Canucks would be outside looking in. It's a long season, maybe the Canucks can win their first ever championship, but not likely and the window of opportunity is closing quick on this team!!!

well after november last season, canucks were 12-7-3 vs 14-9-1 after november this yr, so how good of a season did the canucks end up having. seasons early, whose worried.

And if they started 2 more weeks from now they could have another Presidents trophy. You right it is a long season so why start passing judgement 2 months in?
