Just got home and we were at clemina friday and saturday and wow what a beating on the way up and down the trail and they are in need of a lot of snow to get to normal conditions but this is the earliest we have ever gone so hard to compare to Jan snow conditions but it was looking real promising in town this morning when we left there was at least 6 inches in town and still snowing so hopfully there is 5 times that amount up top and also heard the loose moose is not opening up until christmas. Soory no pictures i did not bring the camera.:d:beer:

We had a great day Saturday riding Chappell, 2ft+++ of fresh in most places.
The trail out was terrible with 1 bad creek crossing.
A great big thanks goes out to everyone who stuck around to help people through the creek. Over all the snow conditions are low, but we had an awesome day.

Good snow in the lesser reached areas, still under 4' with no base in most places off the beaten path.

Lost a race shock, a arms, and many other things today when MR Rock said hi, should have stayed home with the kid.

I have some pics, but am drowin my sorrows, and breakin my piggy bank

Sorry to hear that Curtis. I hope you are up and running again soon without too much pain. A group of us are coming in from Jasper for a ride Wednesday. Hopefully we see you on the mountain soon.

Just updating from home, I will be in the office tomorrow and answer all emails then.

Thankfully with the new snow this weekend, our grooming operations can start. The machines will be moved today, and the Clemina trail should be ready by Thursday morning, and Allan for Friday with Keyhole and Chappell soon to follow.

Once in full swing our schedule will be the same a last year

Allan and Clemina will be groomed on Wed, Fri, Sat and Sunday evenings

Chappell Creek will be Thursday nights to get it ready for the weekend

Keyhole should be wednesday nights, but it is still TBA

Keep in mind we still have lower snow levels than usual for this time of year and with heavy winds blowing what we have around, some spots are still very thin.

It looks like the mountains are being hit again today, but the temperatures are very warm

Curtis, any updates on snow and grooming?

got back last night. pretty good snow. rode allen both days lots of untouched past avalache valley. heard all trucks at millege (3 or 4) on friday got broken into. grooming has started, they are doing well for the snow they have, but it is a bit rough still. just need more snow down low.

Its extremely cold here in Valemount. We woke up this morning to -31

Allan creek on Friday had great snow, up to 160cm was measured with a good trail in.

Clemina has an amazing trail in, although the upper bowls were hit heavily by wind and the snow is very thin in many places with rocks everywhere. Use extra caution in this area.

There is not enough lower valley snow at this point for the new keyhole trail, so for the time being the access is still from the old pullout and will be until we receive a good dose of snow

Callin for clear cold weather all week, so start that snow dance ASAP !

Rode Allen yesterday and Clemina today. Allen trail is very good. It is very wind blown and tracked up. We followed the freeway back as far as Avalanche Alley and there had been a lot of sled past that. Clemina trail is also very good. Some powder found in the trees, but again it was very windblown and hard. Unless it snows hard and warms up at least 10C, I would think twice.. -18C plus big windchill at the cabin today.

Hello

For anyone in the area this weekend, there is an Avalanche Awareness Night on Friday Dec 19th at the local High School's Community Theatre. They will be showcasing "The Fine Line" a 16mm Avalanche Education Film. Lots of Free Swag and prizes for give aways and entry is free. Come on out !

Allan and Clemina Creek will be groomed throughout the weekend. We have not recieved any fresh snow to speak of minus a few cm's last night, so Chappell is still on hold. We are hoping and praying to have it ready for the Christmas holidays.

Happy Holidays and Pray for Snow !
