Epic day just off to the side of the Allan creek cabin today. Could have used another 40 litres of fuel. Sunshine and fresh endless lines ALL day #onlyallan

We rode clemina today. Trail was a bit bumpy going up and down, but not painfull. Went into lakeview further SE to start as there was no one in this area. Killed that area for a bit with between 8-14" of new snow on a decent base. Then headed into lakeview north areas. Not a lot of tracks in there yet. Played for about 2 hrs with 10-16" of new snow on good base. Mcstuck think we seen you a few times today. Then headed to cabin for a bit. After headed to hillclimb area. Pretty flat light with 8-10" of snow, same in bauers. Then played in north west area off the trail at about km 15. My new turbo has 2% left of break-in.

Ah I yes ! we were riding in the same area, lol . The older gentleman in the old skidoo jacket gave me a ride back down to my sled when I bailed off it. That was some decent snow to play with. It was our real first ride of the season so lake view yesterday was perfect to get the feel back and flip sleds over.

Yes I recall that, that was BrianH great guy.
I was on the new skidoo gen5 turbo, the thing just rips. I'm basically re-learning how to tide since my brain surgery. Had to switch to finger throttle as my right side is numb and throttle hand has no sensation. Works better and is safer.

You guys were killing that entire hill for a while.
Glad to see no one was playing on the hills to the south. We only found the best and safest route to the southeast area where avalanche hazards were minimized.

I wish I would have known that was a bunch of S&M gentlemen I would have introduced myself .

I followed your thread from last year when you were recovering . You are doing great. Watch your gloves on those a pesky finger throttles tho.

We don't see any tracks in this mornings webcam shot do you? It was an epic weekend of smashing fresh pow lines all day. We hope you got your fix, but if not, it's time to load up. With two days of possible sunshine ahead of us, you need to get out to help pack down all this great snow!

Remember to ride safe, know your area's boundaries and check avalanche.ca before you plan your ride.

Come check out our BBQ in the Allan Creek staging area next Saturday from 2pm to 430pm. Epic food by donation to support the local schools breakfast programs.

As said, great conditions in Valemount this past weekend.
Rode Chappel on Friday Feb 9th and lost my Ortovox shovel spade off my tunnel bag. I believe it was on the trail on the down at the end of the day. Just throwing it out there to see if anyone happened to pick it up.
Thanks.

My mistake, the date should be Feb 10th. Already been a long week!

We have changed the location of the BBQ from the staging area to the alpine shelter in order to hopefully feed and meet more of you with a quick stop in for a bite at the cabin.

VARDA and the Best Western Valemount Plus will be hosting a BBQ and social from 1230-230pm on the Saturday of the Family Day Long Weekend. The intent is to greet riders with some food refreshments, music and smiles.

Food will be served up by the Best Western Plus Valemount Inn and Suites Management and Staff and will be by donation.

All donations received will go to the local elementary and high school food programs, which is a cause that we love to support.

We would love to see some of our supporters up at the cabin as well. If you are in the area, please bring your team by for lunch!

If you would have any questions, please reach out to me at info@ridevalemount.com. We are here to help make it as easy as possible for everyone.
