In the 4th picture how can you tell if that is safe and the snow is not gonna follow you down the hill?
Typically i avoid those types for places out of fear of not knowing.
Yes this is a serious question because i do not know the answer and it looks like more fun that hill climbs

i was going way to fast for that to become any trouble. trust me i thought about it. i dont stop on the cornice and punch it i was coming in pretty hot. glad you avoid those places i know what im doing im aware of the conditions your picking on the wrong guy. run over and post that picture in the what not to do thread. the landing is on a small shelf and the hill is small with a gentle runout.if i was dropping off of it. yes it would be a problem.

We had a couple of good days as well. Rode Allen on Friday and Clemina on saturday. Between 1-2' in clemina had an awsome day there on Sat. That was untill the end of the day when I had to drag my boys sled out. So didn't take much for pics just a whole pile of video.

Hey now , i am not picking on anything i asked a simple question. And thought you would be a good guy to ask. I assumed as you said you know the conditions, so i asked how do you know when it is good to do these things. But hey you read into what you want

theres a good possibility. but it would be saturday sunday. the yellow doo took out a crank. maybe. it snowed over a foot in allan creek and we were way back near superbowl. needed 3 sleds to pull it up avalanbche valley there and then up the hill that goes around the hillclimb since there was probly 2 feet on that hill as no one was on it and thw wind had deposited alot of snow there. after that was not a problem

the way i looked at it was that it did not have any overhang. minimal if any. mainly it is just a wall. yep it could still let go.adding 700lbs to any lip like that can lead to problems. but usign speed to minimize ground pressure reduces that risk. the slope leaving the landing was gentle and short with a long open runout. and like i said i was moving pretty good LOL. i wouldnt be dropping one that had a huge long steep face with terrain traps at the bottom. probly not even when the conditions are better.

Doods!
All I have to say is Chappell!!
Rode it on Thursday, there was only 3 other guys riding there, other than our group. Amazing snow. Well worth the beat down on the ride in!

Don't know how hard it got hit on the weekend, as we had to head back to the flat land on Friday!

Curtis, thanks for the guided tours, see you next year!

Hey maxwell what day were you in allen we were there on friday. we were back in super bowl as well friday. A little harder to pick you out on that new machine would have been easier to spot you on the old zx. If you were back there when we were you might have noticed my boy on his blue 06 rev. He is a short little bugger.

In his defense, it was almost one of those do or die pulls, that got really steep at the top. I was pretty impressed to see him even attempt it.
I wouldn't even look at it with my little Renegade.
And BTW, we we're at Allen on Friday too...
