Well I dunno how every ones sleds ran this weekend i was supposed to have a new ECM for this last weekend but my parts guy couldn`t get me one in time even tho it was ordered way in advance. Long story short i have a new ECM in my hands now I will be installing it today and it will be programed tomorrow. Will be going out on Sunday to see if the stalling has finally been fixed!

Never got out on the weekend to try mine. Loaded it up Friday night but got up Saturday morning and the body wasn't cooperating. Then the kids have plans for me on Sunday and Monday. See what this weekend brings.

Still the same, managed to get it to stay running once on the weekend when it was dying by feathering the throttle.(Engine was turning over fast enough on the trail to get it to stay running with the throttle, but super rough) shut it down and code clears and fires up first pull as usual. Sled died a total of 4 times on the way up the trail in 20kms, all before boost it seems(61-6200 rpm boost kicks in). Zero times while riding on the hill and in the alpine, and zero times on the way down the hill.

Did a few hrs ripping fields yesterday and no problems with just the dobeck fuel box, I turned boost down to 4 lbs and sled ran decent, turned boost up and it seams there is a slight miss up high, I think dobeck box is to lean, can’t seam to get more fuel out of it, but sled never stalled.. Guess it time for a mountain trial..

So whats the verdict??? i`m in it for a ecm and now a crank sensor still no change only bonus is the new ecm / software is making more power so i have to stuff some more pin weight in my clutch. other than that stalled 4 times on me on sunday. managed to hold it wide open when it did it once and it just sat there chugging away at 900rpm blowing black smoke soon as i let go it died. other 3 times shut off like a light switch. someone pm me with the so called latest development as im all ears to anything that can finally solve this issue

We are trying some stuff that was proven by another builder, stock ecm has some voltage checks that need to verified or engine protection is triggered.. I will Send a pm

sled will be on the snow this weekend and hopefully have a fix as Fred says. Not gonna say too much yet, but Fred has been hunting for and answer and sounds like he is onto something.

Not sure if this is the same issue - but my turbo xm was cutting out at around 6000 rpm - I could not pin it or it would cut out. I could slowly work the throttle up to get full RPM but could not pin it. I tried so many different things to fix it - but what solved it finally and completely for me was a cold air intake (I added a snorkel) - Mine was not getting enough air through stoke intake vents - and i figure cutting out from being to rich?. Any ways, works so so much better now! never cuts out any more.

nope, not the same , our sleds die like the kill switch has been hit. 100% not an airflow issue.

Short day out on Saturday. Sled ran all day with no issues...won't get too optimistic though, as it was a short day as mentioned.

Well went out for a ride yesterday sled stalled as usual. I held it to the bar to keep it coughing and barely running (900 rpm full rich on the wide band blowing black smoke if i were to let go of the throttle it would stall) reached over and opened my side panel. pulled the fuse to the impulse system and she cleared right out and came back to life and ran fine put he fuse back in and shut the sled down let it cool off for a bit went riding again for a hour till it decided to do it again. repeated the same procedure and it came back to life. i have replaced both maps sensors to do with the impulse system and pinned out all the wires and they check out good previously. everything else except the air temp sensor has been replaced so looks to me like i have a bad impulse x5 ECM that is causing my failure when it gets hot ie heat soaked or ridden hard. gonna call impulse and see about purchasing a new impulse X5 ECM

My issue seems moisture related. I put a couple of inline fuses on my induction box and popped a 1 amp fuse, then upped it to a 3 amp and never blew the fuse, but the sled would cut out. thinking I am getting an overdraw an the stock ecm is shutting the sled down.
