You should G F Y.
I have not nagged on BRP since they made their final call on what they were going to provide 17 owners, lame as it was after admitting guilt.

Maybe you need something new to talk about not last year's news.

LOL! Getting all revved up like that! I remember u chiming in last week about your sled......AGAIN! Relax......U should be use to the online sled banter.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Fredwin do you ever stop complaining? pdrive no good, beltdrive no good, suspension no good only baker works, clickers dont work or what do they do?, you use the tach over rev function to clutch a sled, and now dealers should always be open for you. Geeezzzzzzz..( oh ya if you add a turbo you should still have factory warranty..:nono:)

Fred is not complaining. He is telling you his, experience with the 2018 175 g4 850 for all to learn from. If you don't wanna listen to his experience then you should go shovel 20k into Brp's pockets for an 850 and learn the hard way.

I have one and did not pay 20k. Been the best sled in all my years of riding.

If you haven't spent 20k yet just give it a bit of time. Factor in belts, frustration, parts, down time, denied warranty, ruined trips and the fact that you ride the sled wrong(brp said so) and you will be far north of 20k. Have a drink of the doolaide for me.

Fred why should we work 7/24/365? Do you?

Even the banks have better hours! No point I’m making it convenient for your customers with 9-5 jobs to spend their money! Kinda like most other retail sales, car dealers, blah blah blah.

But hell, I should probably start a new thread for that discussion! But maybe I’ll just do some on-line shopping instead, I heard that shat might take off some day!

Support your local dealers at their convenience, they are doing us all a favour just being open at all!

Well I thought I would throw this out on the turbo 850.
I have a 17 850 165 with an MPI turbo on it. I have 1400 miles and I am on my original belt. I had ken at MOUNTAIN MAGIC build it.
We switched out the stock primary clutch as I am not a fan of it. Personal opinion so don't jump on it. Had it taken off and sent to see if it was balanced and it was 30 thow out. Which i think is why there is so much belt heat and causes belts to blow, again personal opinion. I put a Polaris primary on my sled and had it machined and balanced and like I said I am still on original belt. I am also running a team secondary. I agree you should not have to switch out the primary when you spend that much on a sled.
It is a fix and have buddies running same set up and no issues and have roughly same mileage and on original belt.
The turbo runs flawless and guys who know me know that I have had many turbos and this one is the best I have yet.
Hope Everyone has a safe and great year.
yes my profile pic is old.

Pretty dam impressive, and no problems with anything in the 1400miles?

redline is also pushing the p85 primary,(4 lbs lighter as well)are you finding it easy to clutch, any issue with over rev anywhere in the rpm range.. What boost levels do you run.. Fuel.. Still running doo belt?

been finding the pdrive a battle to tune even with stocker it's always over reving some where in mid range, when it's glued to 8000rpm up top.. Can reset the max rpm and do a little stab and it's showing 8300for max rpm..

Could be be going that way real soon..

I have 1800km on my g4 17 and only have spent extra monet on a new belt at beginning of this yr as i always do. I had a 2012, 14, 15, and 17 is best sled i have owned. There are more 17-18 out there running perfect than ones not. Someone that has no trouble you usually dont here from.

Yup, and sounds like the updates helped with the sleds having issues as there is way way less "chatter" this year.

Ken had the clutching dialed in first trip and I am running 5lbs of boost on premium fuel. I am pulling 7900-8000 rpm on the nose even on longer pulls. I am running an 803 belt.
Redline got the clutch idea and set up from Ken from what I have herd and even their billet cover as they were looking at his set up and ken was down to see them I guess. We have been running that cover and set up for the past 6 plus years.

So the 850 gets 200km to a belt and 2300kms to a motor. Seems to me you cant get much worse than that. Throw on a $1,500 balanced p85 and if the motor goes, put the pdrive back on and drop it off at the dealers, and leave it right against the show room doors so they gotta move it to open up. Haha. If you are blowing belts then it wont take long to reach the $1,500 that 6 belts cost. Brp jams it up yer butt at every opportunity so this is kind of a way to stick it back.

Lots of XM's, and G4's out of Mountain Magic running the P85 set up with zero issues. They're all static balanced individually. Plus you'll never blow another belt.

interesting. do you need to have the team secondary to achieve this as well?

To my knowledge...A P-85 primary doesn't work properly without a team secondary. It is a pricey set up, but the performance and reliability of your sled is so much better. With that clutching set up and a K-mod, you've got a sled that is a force to be reckoned with, N/A of course.
