Ya, Good analogy, because the club can control the temperature???????? Do you understand that in order for a trail to set up it needs to be cold outside. Do yourself a favor and the next time you have a trip booked check the forecast and if it's going to be + temperatures cancel your trip so we don't have to listen to you come on here and bit%# about something that hard working club members and operators have absolutely no control over. If discounting $5 to you is going to make the difference, stay home. Feel free to fork out a couple of hundred grand for a new Prinoth and drag unit and have at it, show people how it's done.

I'm going to let you in a personal experience here on my first hand view of the trail. We had a group of 17 riders a few weeks back, the guy in front had the smooth fresh groomed trail, as where I was the last, and after on 16 people in front of me, the whoops were already around 5 inches deep, and that was only going up! now put around 100 riders going up (hovering around 0 doesnt help) and those are going to get bigger yet, especially if your one of that last coming down.

Now do you want the trail passes to increase to $30-$40 so he can make multiple passes up a trail just so you stop whining about it? No, because then you'll whine " trail passes are $40!? Just bend me over backwards why don't you?!" there's no winning with anyone.

I think they do an awesome job! Don't believe me? Ride west ridge in Valemount. That a 15km cut block of 2-3 foot whoops everywhere, all year. Atleast on renshaw you get a break in the morning.

If you don't like how whooped it is, be the first one up, and the first one down.

Lol if you want to ride smooth trails go to Quebec. Mountain sled= mountain use.. Trail sled = trail use. Does the back of the trail pass not say "no refunds"? I have a old 90 500 Indy trail deluxe fan cool grandpa sled I might sell you if you like?

Trail passes are not just for grooming, the fact that a trail is there to begin with and maintained, god I hate people who bitch about a trail that is a little rough, stay home you idiots !! $20.00 for a trail pass and yet u will spend thousands on sleds, trucks and trailers to get there than you complain about a few bumps, smack yourself up side your head you dip ch!t !!

yes I met a guy like u once we pulled him up from a switch back when he hit the throttle and landed up 60 ft down in the trees speed does smoothen out the trail but increases the chance of going of the trail and it also helps chew the trail up faster, so who wins u or the guys that have to follow u later.

If u read right I was not the only what u call bitching I was commenting on the complaints I heard in the shack and that maybe they need to take a closer look on how they can improve on it before it turns out to be a bigger problem. I call a simple complaint not a insult to the peaple that do the work and I apoligize if I insulted them but if someone don't complain or keep them informed everyone will lose in the end.

Have you ever stopped Hotrod or gone up to him in any of the parking lots or tried to contact him (There is a number!) shake his hand and introduce yourself and maybe bring up your concerns. And it continues...........seriously dude, THE SNOWMOBILE CLUB CAN NOT MAKE IT COLDER OUTSIDE. Maybe start praying to GOD and he'll make the trails better for you. Maybe it is all the Mcbride snowmobile club's fault that is responsible for Global warming in your opinion. Seriously though, your point is takin, the trails are in rough shape and until it cools down they are going to stay that way. Jesh there sure alot of keyboard hero's on here i was riding with barry let me lay down some facts.

1. The trail both days sucked (im sorry but fact is fact)
2. ALOT of people were not happy with paying for the "trail" pass when there spines got pounded for 70km i heard that from 40+ people through out the 2 days @ renshaw
3. Its not the groomers fault and i dont want anyone on here to think that we are knocking hotrod he does great work
4 . It seems a little rediculious that the trail is mogoled out from top to bottom both in the morning and at night and we still have to pay trail pass
5. Sara (bartons daughter) is a bit of a bullshiter (sry kiddo) she decided not to ride with us that day because of snow condition and she opted to stay at the cabin ....Sara get on here and set that part straight.

I dont blame anyone for ch!t trail conditions but all i think barry is trying to say here is we are all starting to feel a bit ripped off when were paying for a service were not getting.

as far as this i joined earlier/slash i have more friends BS....COME on how about getting off of your computer and actually goin riding.

Not the end of the world but let's cut the crap and move on. It is an open forum and one is aloud to voice their opinion. I'm glad to see your post. I too have no problem paying $20.00 for a trail pass. I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people bitchin' about the trail conditions are too young to remember the trail into the Renshaw before the days of the Groomer. I would like all those keyboard heros that get on here and bitch about how bad the trails are to stop and ask some of us older folk what it was like to sled before the groomers started maintaining the trails. I've run our groomer here in Bonnyville and know exactly what it takes to make a good trail and weather conditions is one of the things needed. The other thing needed is time for the snow to set up after the groomer has done it's job. Hotrod does a great job doing his part. Mother nature doesn't always work with him in providing one of the key ingredients to making good trails. Time for the trail to set up is also not working with him. How many of you have gone out first thing in the morning after the groomer has been out the night before? Trail is nice and smooth for the first few sleds and then you notice that it starts breaking up. Had the trail been allowed to set up, say a day or two you would notice that it would hold up longer and not pound out as deep. I know this because I've seen it, experienced it and lived it. Now we all know that no one is going to wait a day or two for the trail to set up specially after traveling X number of hours to get to the mountains.
So to all of you whiners complaining of how bad the trails are, suck it up. I for one am very happy to see the work that goes into maintaining these trails and applaud those people that put in the time that they do, just so that some ungrateful can bitch about what a poor job he/she has done.
