A great start to winter! Had to pack the driveway this morning for my better half to get her car out to the road. 8-9" and the bottom of the truck was dragging. Heavy, wet snow is going to make a great base. Still snowing pretty hard. Lost a couple pieces of the elm tree and had a birch tree laying on the ground but it didn't break.

Ya know, its been a few years since we had a good snow in Oct in these here parts. Not one that stayed thats for sure.

We are pretty much back to the way of the olden days..............snow on Halloween and it stays around. Colder than a chickens' tit on Remembrance Day and winter is full on.

I try to do the poker rally circuit every year....... Start 1st weekend of feb end 2nd weekend of March.

We were able to hit lots right close to home but most have shut down, Low snow and insurance are the main reasons.

any ASA club does not have to purchase additional insurance for the rallies.....

I'm hoping I'll get a free moment at work the next couple of weeks to compile a rally calendar.
