4000' we have grass and at 4300' we have 7 cm of very crusty rain snow. We unloaded at 5000' with about 30-35 cm of crusty rain snow. Above 5500', we left the rain snow and when I dug my pit there was only a 2 cm rain crust mid snow pack. I put an extensive breakdown in Avalanche Awareness.
