Oh wait, I may be wrong, she sparked up enough to indicate a low battery in the remote sensor. Damn that was a new package of batteries. Found some good batteries and she sparked up properly. No date on the package of batteries. Note to self, do not buy batteries at a dollarama

I bought this one on Amazon.

Learned something today. The add on Amazon does not specify the range that the thermometer is rated for. After much messing around changing batteries and I and finally doing what no man will ever admit to. I read the paperwork that came with the unit AKA instructions. This is where I learn that the outdoor range is from-25°C to +50°C. Also the instructions don't tell you what "LL.L" on the temperature display means. I guess it means that it's too F09876G for me to work. The other thing the instructions don't tell you how to change the remote displays from °F to °C . I guess that why us men don't read the instructions.
