We have enough freeze and thaw that I like the studs. I have been quite happy with the Nokians.

When I drive further west and it gets a little warmer the studs are very useful.

I run them all year. I I switched summer winter I would run studs

not planning on running the super duty this winter, so will replace tires in spring, likely put toyo's back on. winter tires on there didn't last long, did like the studs in the winter though.

We have found out there is a lot more to tires than just putting them on and off. Try a vehicle with staggered wheels and all the BS that goes with those. It is good to be able to rely on people who know and lots of times it isn't the car dealers who know about things like that.
