On the coast, due to the moisture, the snow flakes are big mother pluckers.............

Here in the Koots because of the dryness, the snow flakes are normally little wee suckers that can take all day to snow an inch.

Our snow on the eastern slopes is often sugary under a crust

Hahahahaha......that's about how long it takes. Moisture helps a lot whether it is from the ocean, the lakes in the Okanagan, or the lakes in the western Koots. Big snow falls further west of us.
