It will be good to be finished and not being in a position to worry about whether or not one can get into the bush to cut wood for the winter.

you will have all winter, no snow in the forecast. none on the horizon. valley or hills. none. leaf lickers need leaves. I got some green ones with three leaves!!!

Good idea. With no snow this winter you need lots of wood.

The summer is supposed to be 10-12 degrees warmer than last year. Last year they were very close to closing the bush, hence, no wood cutting, no driving around, no berry picking, and if it were dry enough maybe no hunting.

It will still be cold enough to have to heat the house and the shop. You guys can poke the bear all you want but I am finished my winter wood supply......................heehaw!

Elkford is too high (4300') for any great quantities of birch to grow. I have found a tree or two but they are few and far between.

I look along the river down by Fernie, Hosmer, and sometimes around Sparwood.
