nothing like the smell of asphalt in the morning

did lot of hiway paving back in the day
last step to basically finishing off the site work. then I can put away the pumps and plucking around in the mud and start focusing on the building. hard to work on a building when your paving crew has the whole site tied up for 3 weeks.

It was an interesting day. I replaced the “burnt out” clearance light but still no workie. It was connected to the other light on the same side but one wire was very brittle and full of white stuff when I tried to clean up the ends. There was no wire inside the sheathing. Took that wire out and replaced it along with 2 new lights. Bingo, bango, and Bobs your uncle.

last few years yup. construction sure doesn't go like it used to. hard to schedule or keep schedule at all anymore. trades short handed, trades who just don't care. inspectors who have no idea what they're doing slowing things down and causing problems......used to love this job...
