May need to drive to Dease. Made it through a road test plus 35 kms and engine light on again. The mystery continues…..
Ken, disconnect your battery and wait for a couple minutes and reconnect it. See how long the check engine light takes to go on again. Just an interesting concept to see. I’ve had other trucks of mine stay off for months on end with that little trick.

yeah I tried that the first time Doug but the light came back on immediately after I started it after reconnecting the batteries. Back at the dealership so they are going to read it again and report back to me.

They think they now know what is going on with my truck. I appreciated that the service advisor brought the diesel tech into the lounge to talk to me. Apparently when I brought it back they now had a new code as the prevalent code. The DEF system has a tank heater and an online heater. When the tank originally froze the inline heater got overworked and burned out. It showed as a code originally but after he replaced the in tank heater today it went away and was good on the test drive. When I brought it back it was on so they are overnighting the part in and will replace it tomorrow for me. No big deal as I have Flames tix tomorrow night and my son is going with me and he’s in Okotoks so gotta go there anyways. Hopefully this works.

Mine turned out to be a finicky oxygen sensor. Nothing serious apparently.
At least they are looking after you like they should for a good customer.
