Tire chains ?

I have called a few places and the prices are all over 280$ for the V bar style. Apparently my tires are a odd size?

All that matters is the diameter or height.Your size isn’t overly wide so not a problem.
285/55-20 is around the 33 inch tall I believe.
If a set a bit longer is available just shorten then .

Yes you can get chains for any size tire.
