Seen this floating around on Facebook.

Figured what the hell, why not. I'm curious to know more on these.

Worst and most likely case they'll say no. Lol. As they seem to want athletes with good social media skills. Not a crap poster like me. Ha ha.

Stumble across this today, neat to see them out on the snow, looks like spring riding though.

Yeah makes sense. The math doesn’t work out. 33kwh battery is one gallon of fuel. Will be a while before we get one that will have enough range for deep snow.

I don't think that number factors in efficiency of the ICE, which is typically in the 25-30% range. Could be even lower for a 2S snowmobile engine. You're also eliminating the CVT.
Of course the electrical efficiency isn't 100% either.

I do agree though; we are not yet at the stage to replace gas with a battery at a reasonable cost. Pound for pound, hp for hp.

My buddy tried one last year and was extremely unimpressed. I think they had the power turned down a lot.
Probably trying to keep some juice in the cells for multiple trial rides ...

I could see that being a selling feature of the trail/utility type ones, being able to turn the juice down to get more miles. Like if using it to commute back and forth to an ice fishing shack or on a trap line, you don’t need all the power so tune it down and save some juice

Jet skis now...

Electrek.co: Taiga Orca electric jet ski is here, and it’s pure unadulterated fun.
Imagine dragging the charging cable from the house across the beach and plugging it In while standing in the water.

Lol

I'm sure they thought of that have all sorts of anti shock systems in place. But it is a funny thought.

Sounds like some money troubles are on the horizon, I'm sure the Quebec government has a few extra million they could help them with.
However additional funding for market share will only affect their other child, Bombardier...will be interesting to see how this unfolds...
