Thread Derailers need to Stop - Covid or Conspiracy Talk stays in existing named threads otherwise is Deleted!

Basically its right there in the above line. If you post in threads or derail your post or thread is immediately deleted, you will get points, too many points your on a holiday.
Every time there is a good / interesting valuable post it is derailed by almost the same group of people. The world isn't ending and no one is out to get all of us, we are getting sick of it including myself. I didn't develop this forum for this type of talk/bashing or constant derailments where we have to keep moving or deleting threads.

Well its time, post crap we will be removing it from this platform all together. Go to a different place and post this stuff. We gave you and area to post this, keep it there.

Im sure all of you are decent people, and we need to get back on the focus of this site or it wont be here anymore, please.

I'm shocked and surprised to read this as I don't come here much and wow, here it is, its about time. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way.

There was a real good thread about the Kelowna area fires. It was informative and I was watching it. Until it got derailed, I myself got caught in that stuff and posted some negative info, sorry. I should know better.

I'm not posting this number but as we don't have to. If a member derails or brings unrelated, covid, conspiracy or constantly negative posts they will get points, there post / thread deleted and get to many and you get a 1 month vacation.

Thanks Ron and hope you really stick with it. Always wondered why you let the same 3-5 guys crater every thread. They don’t post anything about vehicles or offroad riding so are straight up in the wrong forum. I’ve tried other sites to get away from it but do prefer this one if that crap is gone.

This is what’s been the only thing entertaining around here the last 4 years, hardly worth checking for conditions or grooming info or anything sled related anymore. Varda posts at the beginning of a season and when they need money, basically that’s it, blue river people don’t post at all, there is a couple people that still actually post some pics and sled conditions but it’s a fraction of what it used to be. So basically I come here for the laughs and that’s it. The old boys got their panties in a bunch too much I guess. Kinda reminds me of govt, if it’s not in their beliefs it’s false and swept under a rug….. oh well, was fun while it lasted

The biggest issue is why would someone want to make a thread or post when the post will get derailed and turn into a crapshoot. Then end up being moved to a section that they don't go, closed or deleted. I was following the Kelowna fires thread and that is now a complete mess. I would like to see a new one started with the good photos and videos that were posted not all the conspiracy or jab stuff. Were not the government and they have no control over this forum.

My favorite saying " If you build it they will come" , I originally built this site in 2006 due to the spam and crap on the Alberta Snowmobile Site and Valemont Sled Talk. It was a large community of great people. I met most of my friends here and have gone on many rides, both snowmobiling and quadding, We had some many great times and events. Facebook came out shortly after and caused some issues at the start, however the forum survived and users kept registering. We had some issues with a few over times, banned a few, and learned a lot. Now we still have lots coming here but many lurkers not posters, there is a reason for that and that needs to be changed.

For those that need there covid, conspiracy, government taking over threads, there still here, in the sections where You must allow yourself to view and comment. If posts have government - conspiracy - covid - jab and other totally Negative stuff that will be moved to the private forums. If posts/threads are derailed with this government - conspiracy - covid - jab and other totally Negative stuff that are in regular public forums then those are deleted without comment, infraction points go out. Not a lot of points and you may find yourself on a 1 month holiday, simple concept.

Forums still have a place, trying to get useful advice or help on Facebook is completely pointless.

When my wife and I raised our kids we went with the NO counting or warnings way of discipline. We had rules and consequences. Our kids so far have turned out great. You raise your kids the way you want but handing out “points” is gonna be a waste of time. Make rules and follow through. End of story. Kids needs to have fun but will push boundaries when none are given.

Hmmm. I understand whats being said here but im also torn. On one hand I get it. All threads get messed up. But what if it’s because of the world we live in.
Thats our current reality but no one wants to acknowledge it?
Example.
Discussion about bc fires.
Its all going good.

Someone mentions how RCMP are blocking people who want to help.
Ok….
This leads to “well it’s because of XYZ” reason. Probably something like its not safe for people to save their own house from fire. Whatever.

This leads to ok, well if its for safety, why did they shut down the water to some areas??
Seems counterintuitive to say the least.

Combine that, with the liberal leftTards and their climate agenda and its ripe for discussion.

Thats my take. If you don’t at least slightly suspect something is amiss with the insane fires and such burning everything perhaps its not people derailing the thread with “conspiracy” its simply people discussing whats really (probably) happening, and people that have their head in the sand don’t like to hear it….maybe?

Now thats not to say some threads don’t get legitimate derailed. But maybe not always.

It does kind of all intersect and go that direction except that it's the same 6 or 7 guys that always take it there while also never posting anything about Snow, Mud, Sleds, SxS, pickups etc. It's just all negative chit and fear porn from these posters all the time.
