Well isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Your on here complaining about throwing stones but you cannot figure out how to adjust to the recommendations and keep your business running, but you chose to have and take part of recreational activities by traveling. Do you have employees?? If so would you put up with your employees who do not follow your instructions??
Keeping people working and working safely imo is way more important than sledding and hiding from this virus.

So have you noticed that in nearly all of my posts I mentioned I have been sledding locally...you know...like staging a few Km from town.
We don't have employees, but we do work in other peoples homes and are not willing to possibly infect anyone or be infected in their homes and then pass it on to other people.
For cripes sake man...were talking about riding in the middle of know where...WTF...not talking about injecting Coronavirus into babies and Grandparents.

take a deep breath folks. Things are getting a little heated in here. Opinions running wild and you know what they say about opinions. Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. Instead of cutting one another up shouldn't we supporting each other in this time of crisis.

I don't think the majority of people are worried about the people who go to work and are careful, or even the odd non essential thing. Let's be honest, even going to the grocery store every week isn't essential, you don't NEED fresh stuff you could easily go once a month or less. Ya if you're a dumba$$ out drinking with people, or something like that you should be shamed.
I'm still working, and will be as long as people want work done. It's either running equipment or working outside not anywhere close to others so no risk at all. I do think some people have the mentally "oh I can't work, so you shouldn't either". That's BS. If you're essential, or you can go to work without posing any risk, you do it.
I did however stop at 7-11 on my way home today for a slurpee, so flame away
Agree with you...We have chosen to isolate from our customers and I don't have a problem with other people working. I'm taking umbrage with the shamer's Like Caper11 who are acting holier than thou and are in fact more likely to spread the virus than some of the people they are slagging.

That's the thing that has me riled the most...fellow sledders slagging other sledders. I didn't pick this fight, but this $hit has me pissed off.

You are a unique case and are an exceptionally low risk.
Others are not that read from you it is OK to carry on a normal..
I have a govt regulated job so I am sill at work.
We now have 6 different scenarios on how to deal with this disease's progressive steps including lockdown criteria with special travel permits to present to RCMP as required.
Alberta is only in Phase one.
Since this started I have not stopped at convenience store, visited no one, all coffee made at my house, kids have not left the house.
Have only had to fuel the company truck once in full PPE from work so far.
Zero fills on personnel truck or suv
So other than work I have not gone anywhere and neither has my family.
We are at polar ends of the scale so any innuendo about my conduct can be placed directly up yer azz.
As mentioned above we are still in phase one, we re about to enter Phase Two which is Community Spread.
The situation is about to change.
On a high horse, hardly - I just have unique access to what is coming.
I really don't care if you don't get it as long as some do.
I think he's just mad cause he doesnt live near any good riding

My comment was directed at your original post in a thread that you started. Truthfully im not sure why you started it to begin with knowing how some people felt about travelling unnecessarily out of town. I don’t recall what you said in another, I apologize to you.

Ha Ha...good one. It ain't Revy, but lots of good riding if you know where to go and are willing to stage somewhere other than Morrissey or Coal Creek.

I can see from re-reading my first post, that some people thought I was defending all people traveling to go sledding, but that was not the real intent. I thought I should call out the people that were slagging the other sledders that were/are still riding, even though these riders mentioned they were riding locally or traveling, but taking extraordinary precautions . Words like selfish, Ignorant, reckless and inconsiderate were used to describe these fellow riders, who in most cases, are anything but that. Most of them are fellow riders that are taking extraordinary precautions while trying to enjoy a healthy activity they love. They were compared to be dumber than dogs...
If anyone reads through any of my pre covid-19 era posts you will most likely realize that I will never condone irresponsible, reckless behavior and I'm typically not one to pick online fights, but this slagging/judging/ shaming of other riders (and myself) has really pissed me off and It's sad to see.

That is why I keep saying, we will never agree so lets just default to what is mandated by law. If it is a recommendation and someone does not follow it, just shut up! It is not for you to say. Hopefully people can follow recommendations out of respect for others but we all see things differently.

Good for you for getting out and breathing fresh air.
My daughter and I have been riding a LOT.
By far the best year we ever had. Just rode 4 more days in the last week, not riding today as we have business to take care of, but then on the way back home will do another 3 or 4 days of riding.
I see the possibility of riding 60 to 70 days this season, not just 25 ish like usual.
Riders generally do not crowd around other riders ever in my experience, unless they know them. They may park 60 feet away from another group, but they don't pull up 4 feet from a stranger.
If people don't like others being outside, they are not required to go over and visit them anyway. Stay in your house, lock your doors, and don't answer even if someone knocks. If they cannot stand seeing other people outside, shut the curtains, problem solved. Sit in your house for one month, or one year, nobody else cares if you want to self isolate...but them trying to force others to lock themselves in the house, that is just plain Fing stupid!!!
Take care of yourself, and leave others alone!!!
