That's easy! It means being free to have fun in nature with my friends and family. It's a way of letting the adrenaline flow and forget about everything at home or work. It means freedom

Sledding to me is being out in some of the most beautiful country just enjoying what the world has to offer. Being with people that you love and enjoy people that can make you grow as a person and a rider. The feeling of the world being lifted off your shoulders and all the stress and pain of the real world melting away, thats what does it for me its my stress relief. I lost a close friend two years ago in an avy so when Im sledding I feel like im riding with him in his heaven flying my mind is blank just felling one with the sled.

To me, sledding is being stress free and so relaxed in the most beautiful and peaceful places in the world. It's these places you would not be able to get to see without your sled. SLEDDING will get you the closest to heaven you can get, while you're still alive! :)

I never seemed to be able to fulle explain to some one what snowmobiling means to me... Hope this works as my definition.

I snowmobile because it’s something different every single time u go out. That’s the kool thing about mother nature is things are always different and it’s not the same repetitious thing every single time your actually going places that’s You know maybe someone has never even gone before ever… That’s why I snowmobile. Being one with the machine, where nothing can stop you. Snowmobiling with friends or with your girlfriend/boyfriend, just makes the time even better as if time stops and u can do anything and make the most of it. The part I hate about snowmobiling is coming back and having to pack up the trailer:(

Riding is so hard to explain what it makes me feel... I think tht the people tht don't get what im trying to say, are just not a true rider or they are misssing out...

Sledding is really an experience that I think everyone has to try to get to know the true feelings and do it before they judge sledding. Ive been riding since I was 2 and driving my own for 12 years out of that 4 years mountians and the mountains is where i really fell in love with the sport and my addiction formed.

My husband patiently taught me to mountain ride about 5 years ago. It's time that we get to spend together. We ride every weekend together, sometimes just the 2 of us and lots of times with family and friends. We have made some really great friends sledding. I get my addrealine rush .some of my best thinking done.Sledding is my favorite thing to do.. . Sledding is definatly an addiction. I feel as a female rider, that it is something that I can hold my own doing and that in it's self is very empowering.

My saddest day is the day we put our sleds away for the season
All I can think about all summer and fall is that each day it gets closer to sledding season.

Sledding to me is many things. When my husband and I do our Sunday ride with our friends, its excitement, adrenaline, a little bit of oooooooooooh nooooooo... and a whole lot of wooooooooooo hoooooo. It's my stress relief after a week of momming, teaching my kids and working. When we go out on family rides or we take the kids out tobogganing, its something unique I can give to my children. Lasting memories that they share with voices full of pride as they explain their weekend to their friends.

It's my husband's and my quality time, and for our family, extreme bonding time. Some conversations are just best discussed on the top of a mountain.

I love the laughter and unique sense of humor us sledders have. No one else get's why I laugh so hard I cry when I see a monster sticker or gets it when I say "that's a gooder". There's something different about us sledders, in a good way. Thankful to share that side of life with my kids.

I sled because I CAN! when I hit the hill I leave eveything behind but whats ahead! plus I get to take my 10 year old son out to enjoy it.....he is at the age now that he is now climbing and carving.......I'm not as sad now to park the sleds because we pull out the Jet Skies and carve it up.....and learn the tricks.....the only part I hate with them is the traffic on the lake......in the hills you can always find the quiet spot to play with your friends.......and climbing is quite the RUSH!

sledding means the same to me as dirt biking, quading, boating, fishing, camping....it's not work, and something I really enjoy doing.

Its one of the few things that I can't live without. Its the freedom to do whatever turns my crank. To just sit and know that below me is a crazy world and most don't know where I am.

Everyone has their thing: art, music, horses, cars - something that they are passionate about! Mine is sleds. I was fortunate enough to have backcountry run in the family. My grandpa built a remote hunting lodge nearly 50 years ago, and it opened up this amazing country for us to explore and play! I grew up out there, all of the grandkids did - The stories I could tell!! So, it's more than a winter activity, it's more than powder days, and it's more than time with family. It's just my thing. It's what makes me, me. 12985584_10157002908465107_4577892424098061139_n.jpg
