Well just left T mobile arena in Vegas. What a pathetic showing it was. That team is in big trouble and I don’t think it’s because of lack of money....lol. However there is a huge lack of interest from some of those players and I’m not going to name anyone but I would love too....

Draisaitl does two things well, can take a one timer and smash it home and pass well on his back hand. Many fans thing he has had a great season but being a complete player is more than just scoring points. His play away from the puck and in the defensive zone is pretty bad and if he can’t carry the puck into the zone he rarely can retrieve it or a loose puck. For a big strong young guy he could be better.

On the forums, Oilers IG posts and so on fans are still under the belief they can turn it around next year. It would take some serious roster changes to make this a playoff competitive team. The West has been pretty bad this year all around and that’s why they have held on this long to a chance at the playoffs. They aren’t mathematically eliminated yet but they likely can’t lose a game. I still think it would take 90-91 points to secure a wild card spot.

I am interested to see who the new GM will be but man does that person have to want to fix the bag of crap that has been created.

They got some good players that can come out of Bakersfield. Hopefully the lump players are all gone by the time the ahl guys are developed (properly this time) and on the main roster.

Yeah the flavour of the week call ups are never going to be more than 3-4 liners and while there is some young and potentially decent blueliners in the system I hate to see them be relied upon to fill holes. That’s in let what has been happening for the last 6-7 years and it doesn’t work.

Hey interested from Oiler fans on your thoughts on the new arena? Was super excited to see the new digs last weekend when up for the Elton John concert. Looked amazing coming up Ice Ave and the main lobby area was amazing but felt let down once I got into the concourse area's. Very sterile atmosphere in my opinion with the ice surface curtained off from the concourse. Would think its hard to get that hockey night feeling while in there? The food and concession was brutal compared to even the Dome in Calgary. And are guys actually buying $13-$14 beers?? Still $10 at Calgary which is overpriced. Coyotes rink is way nicer but a lot older. Just my thoughts.

I didn’t like the barn at all. Concourse is chit. Seats are chit. Bathroom situation is chit. Prices are chit. And fawk no, I didn’t pay for no $13 beer. I’m an oilers fan. But would much rather go to the saddledome

Beer is pricey, that’s why it’s best to meet at a pub pre game if you can. Viewing the ice seems better at the new arena as well.

Last night was my first NHL game...finally. They definitely made the drive up from Calgary worth it. What a first game to see live. Hopefully Neal keeps it up even though we are already ahead on the deal.
