Anybody out there changing over from Bell or Starchoice to the Telus satellite TV service that they are bigtime promoting right now? Got a call the other night from a Telus rep and it looks like there is some good coin to be saved over other providers.

Doo they provide high-speed internet with it? The reason I ask is because I can no longer get high-speed from Telus where I live in Elkford. Had to go to Shaw Cable. If I could get the TV and internet from the satellite, I might change again.

They have a "wireless internet hub" they might be able to hook you up with.

My parents are on Telus Satelite TV have been for a couple years now and are quite happy with it.

Not sure Doug. He asked who my internet provider was and I told him and he seemed confused and kinda moved on to the next question. He is supposed to call me back tonight so I'll see what the deal is.

I pay $90.00/month for Shaw extremely basic cable, and stoopid fast internet. Telus land line isn't offered out here yet, but I do believe that Shaw does own Telus Satelite. I'm extremely tempted to go back to DirectTv. I had it when I lived in Sandy Beach, but got tired of the card getting fried every 2-3 months.

I used to have Starchoice as we live in the country. Then I heard Bell was offering the Nascar package so I switched. Have been very happy with Bell so just tentative leaving them. Scared maybe the grass isn't greener on the other side, even in HD. Lol.

Shaw owns Star Choice, Telus uses Bell Satelite.

With Bell you can have four or five receivers for the price of one. So you can have one at home, the beach house, your motorhome, your girlfriends and the mistress'. With Telus you can only have one. Every time they call I ask if they have changed so I can have more than one and it completly screws them up. The price with Telus is good otherwise. I may need to switch my internet to Shaw as theirs is way quicker than Telus( and Telus isnt to bad).

I really don't like shaw.. We had bell then Telus Tv in the past, but had to switch when we moved. We were unable to get reception with or Telus equipment here. Shaw I find, has mass disorganization with their channel guide, and poor package choices. I am absolutely less than thrilled by what we pay for.
