I have recently purchased one, under a contract(what a dumbazz....I know). They do work pretty good. But if you want to use it, between 5pm & 10pm MST. It kind of sux.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem with theirs, or any other Mobile Key. I spend more time rebooting, and refreshing. Then actually using it, for what it is for.

Should get free service from 5pm - 10 pm. ;):d

I use one for work, as long as I have cell service it works. But the only thing I use it for is tech support for work,.. so no downloading or browsing.

I've got a couple, the oldest is a 595U and it works well. The latest one for home is a newer version and it sucks

We have a telus 597 and use it all the time when travelling for business. We took it too a trade show this past fall and used it for internet service to run our debit machine. We have had no issues at all except for user errors...lol!

I have had mine for about a year and it works OK most of the time but I have notice certain times in the evening where it is very slow. I just got a rogers rockethub the other day and it out peform the stick and the plans are alot cheaper.

i got one a yr ago and it worked ok where i live out in the boonies, but after about 2 months it was painfully slow, slower than my original dial up... i fought with telus to let me out of my contract or fix the problem as they said it would work everywhere, "even here". after about 6 months of fighting on the phone, refusing to pay the bill, i ended up with a compass 597 and it worked better, i wouldnt say its fast, but its the best that i can get for my area... not a big fan of telus !!

I would ditch the sticks and buy an iPhone or Torch, one contract, one data plan. My iPhone is very quick. Right now I'm in working in the hills north of Nordegg with no issues at all.

Agree with the torch, just tether it to your laptop works fine as a modem. Just stay away from download or you pay big..

Just had a Skype video call from my Wife and Daughter using the iPhone over the 3G network. Worked pretty good, the girls were clear in the video and the sound was perfect, thumbs up all around.

Me three. No more stick just an iphone that i tether and i get 6x the data for the same price. Oh how nice it is to go on youtube like the rest of the world without fear of racking up ur bill.

I have a Telus USB stick (3G). I use it on my laptop in my truck all day long. Very few problems.

I did have some issues when I first got it - it kept dropping the connection. I got Telus to help me trouble shoot. Ended up having to re-install the software again and a few tweaks by the network guy and it has basically been trouble free ever since.
Call Telus - network - and get them to trouble shoot.

How much it cost and how much data a month do you get? I pay 20$ a month on my cell phone for internet (telus) and I get 1GB data transfer. I can make a wifi host on my phone (or use USB) to connect to my laptop or any other device. I could do this on my old windows phone and on my HTC Desire phone.
1gb isn't much but works well enough if I need it.

Just wondering if you guys are possibly wasting money on a Mobile Internet key when your phone might do it as well for free (sorta) I am sure I can extend my data plan on my phone for more if I wanted but I don't use it that much.
