cuso you have a 08 with 08 shocks? if so let us know how it works out. be hard to tell on the concrete in your floor but you never know, goal would be to pull over with 1 hand like the xm's:beer:

Here is the tMotion Bolted up to a 2009 146 skid. Everything seems to move freely, will post pictures tomorrow night of it bolted into the sled!

Thanks I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone if it would fit the 08-09 sleds! I'm glad its a direct swap. Now I just hope Martin still has one not spoken for?

I don't know if this will work 100%. I just winged it to give it a try. Ill keep everyone posted with what it looks like once in the sled. Won't really be able to tell until it's on the snow essentially.

Like i said, I figured it would be, from the parts description.

I wish I could do mine, My arm is still hooped from the tendon re-attatchment surgery....

If it bolted in, it will work. I am sure the extreme air vent shock upgrade would help in the handling, but it's not 100% essential right now..

Its not a matter if it will work in pre 2010 sleds. It will fit and work.

But, it might not perform to the same degree as it would in a 2010-2012 sled.

That being said, I still feel the geometry of the 08/09's was better in deep snow. The changes to the 2010 center shock geometry for whatever reason you want to believe they were done, made the sled handle different.

Minor differences in geometry a 1/4" this way, or 3/8" that way make significant differences in how these sleds perform and handle.

The XM's did get up on top of the fresh snow better than the 2012's. Whether it is the difference in the durometer of the flex tracks, or the slight geometry changes associated with the T-motion they were better in deep fresh.

The ability to initiate off camber movements with less rider input is what I want to achieve with the kit. In pre-2010 sleds you will gain that. But you may see differences in how the sleds perform which could be possitive or negative. To the best of my knowledge no one has put an 08/09 on the snow with a t-motion kit.

It will be interesting. Its possible a t-motion in 08/09 sleds performs better in the deep than newer sleds. That would be funny :)

My only concern is that the front shock bottoms out before the front arm hit the bump stops( 3/4" clearance)

so... can you pull it over with 1 hand like the XM's?

Have not put the s36 kit on it yet, however on the concrete it feels alot easier to roll. I have a feeling that without the Flex track you won't get that same 1 handed pull over. But it will definitely help!

If the shock is bottoming out before it hits the bump stops, then there is a chance you could have the shock fail. That could be catastrophic.

So the front arm is longer. You could always fabricate taller bump stops. Thats a bandaid, but it would work. Or go with the longer center shock and relocat brackets.

You could also check with suspension shops around your area, I know in Calgary someone like rideconcepts may even be able to put a longer center shaft/rod in the shock. Its a possibility and maybe cheaper than finding a longer center shock.

Takethebounce, you might be on to something there..Who knows what might come of it. I know the '10's had waaay less effort steering. Not sure about the pow though.

EMANARRON, Were the new bumpstops crucial to the install? And also, Where are the t-mothin stickers!! LOL

I have a sneaking suspicion, that there was problem with these shocks bottoming out before the bumpstops-- before this install. My skid is still in the sleds, I should have a looksy.

I have 1 kit for sale, I want what I paid for it, or it's going back to dealer for refund.

I have an injury that will lay me over till jan.

just thought I would offer this to some fellow snowandmud members first.

It is confirmed that it will work on the 2008 to 2012 summit models.

txt 780-953-9101 or pm me thanks.

So I sold my 2008 my brother as I ordered a xm. The sled has low miles as I had knee surgery on year and shoulder the next so did not get to ride it much.

We put the s36 kit in and built the t-motion last night. Very nice kit. Did not get it in the sled as we took way too much time trying to figure out how to keep the nextech air suspension in. In the end we were unsuccessfully as it looks like a new end cap for the fox float would be required. Look forward to comparing the ride to the new xm!

I'm me if you are interested in the nextech rear float to replace the springs.

The Kit came in for my brother last week. We installed it. Not too bad to do. The biggest pain was the fact that the skid's bolts go into the same bar so if you loosen one bolt the other just spins. You have to loosen them at the same time. I follow this blog that a guy did a post with a quick video of him moving the T-Motion around. Not too impressive, but it is still a bit of eye candy. He also posted about what he thought on geometry changes of the T-Motion vs Stock. You can read it here:
