Those are the ones im leaning too, im 15, 5,5. By the time i have enough money around (1600$) probably next summer or spring i might be a bit taller so a 250 might be an option. I can just about tip toe them now.

If it is your first bike a 250 might be a little to much bike. you can still have a ton of fun on a 125 and it won't be as scary as a 250. JMHO

With someone your size a 125 will go nearly anywhere as long as you can ride it. It'll teach you some important skills too like clutching it to stay in the powerband. The smooth 125 over rev is sweeeet too.

kk thanks, but what exactly is over rev???
It's the power the motor makes after you rev past the peak horsepower. 125's tend not to fall off quickly so they still make smooth power even after the peak.

My 14 yr old son has a CR 125... Great bike, they are all good. And for a first time bike, thats enough power for sure.

I would personally opt for the 250. there is no difference in seat height (or very little). 125's generally get rode a lot harder
I agree most 125s and 250 four strokes are owned by entry level riders who often neglect important maintenance that motocross bikes require. You will find 125s for sale with recently rebuilt motors but every bearing and bushing on the rest of the chassis is completely toast.

If you can when you're ready to buy try to get some seat time on a 250 and see if you like it.
