Well here is something that i think the 2018 should have had.
These will be replacing the crappy (IMO) Cat boards. While Yamaha is adapting to Cats narrow boards for 2018, i'm going wider with Extreme CR boards. LOL

Kinda going backwards with the wider boards. The narrow ones work in concert with the narrower panels to reduce panelling out which is a real issue with the older proclimb chassis.

LOL, like Clode said "best boards hands down"
I have them on my Nytro, since then i don't think i could ride another sled without them. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Looking good Mike. Gonna be a sweet buggy im sure.

Thanks Randy and BIG THANK's to everyone on your team in Kelowna (Kelowna Yamaha) for supplying me with the sled and anything i need to create this build. Also props to Chad at CR-Racing in working with me in making this happen.
It appears that everyone is very excited about seeing this happen in Kelowna and that is making it a lot of fun.

When I was checking these out I spent some time looking at the King Cat, inside and out and it had the narrowed boards that now the 2018 Side Winder will have.
They are about 1/2" narrower at the front (toe kick area), when I put my foot in the well with my boots it stayed stuck and that was enough for me to know that the boards would go.
Its not always about what's in for this season but more about making the sled fit for you. The narrow boards work great for dudes with size 9 feet but those with 12-13 not so much.
The panel are the same on both 17 and 18 models, CR boards are a direct fit to the factory except they are kept wide all the way to the back and not tapered, this allows you to work the sled from the back and not loose footing if needed. For me its a no brainer the boards have to go.

BTW, I just wanted to add, the new Cat 800 according to some measures 31" from panel to panel. My SW measures 32", the G4 measures 34"'. I don't think the CR boards will cause problems.

Looking good.....I find building them almost more fun than riding them.....can't wait to see it when your done.

That's the way i feel. I even have the wife Cat torn apart and its getting a top end refresh and a narrowed front end modification. I was hoping to get her into a new model Cat but she decided on working with her current and saving the cash for now. If she's happy with it who's to argue.

Hey so you ride with Niner right on his MTNTK Axys? How do the sleds compare to each other? Should be a fair direct comparison or no?

This thread is about Lunds wicked sidewinder. I do not want to derail this thread. We will have a good comparison next weekend and report in another thread.

We have done some comparing so far but it has not been even track size to track size so hard to be fair but I will say Niner has beat me a few times in certain conditions, I am pretty pumped to see what happens now, this thing is gonna be a monster!!!! His sled is gonna be hard to beat in short steep bursts when its deep for sure and it is dialled in very well too. I noticed my belt is already down in my secondary a quarter inch cuz I have not even looked at it yet, tsk tsk and my gearing and clutching may be off now too so there still is some tweaking that has to happen but I love doing it.
