carb boot = intake socket <------- This is what you need.

The other part # for a "funnel" is the backside of the carb, its made from aluminum, not rubber and hardmounts to the carb with screws. Here is the mag side part # if you want to see how it attaches Part #35 404162021 Funnel (Mag) Its not what you want.

Part Number 30, SKU420667105 Intake Socket is what you want.

I knew you'd have the answer! :) Thanks Modman! They just confused the heck out of me when they emailed me the wrong SKU and parts breakdown. Just didn't seem right, wanted to double check.:cool:

Ok now I have a question for whoever...if I need to replace the reeds as well I found a pair of vforce reeds and boots on ebay for $270 around $100 more than BRP reeds and boots. What is the advantage of going to the vforce? Would it be worth it to do the upgrade?

I would recomend staying with stock reeds, I have 11000km on mine. I have no metal left in my engine that can come out and stock works best, v force will lean you out in mid range and you will run into detonation problems on the trails trying to get to the good stuff. The roller secondary came stock on i beleive the 05. It drastically helps with backshift over the slider secondary that was stock in 04. The 44/40 roller cam will help load your engine harder but maintain some top end grunt. Also install a red dalton spring in your secondary. The airbox of the 07 rev was for the 800R motor and has almost double the size of air intake. Also ensure you have 19/45 gears and depending on your size with this setup you should have no issues running solid pins in your primary. All this combined will make your sled feel 50 pounds lighter and all for under $700.

Yeah I've never heard of anyone running lean in the mid with V-force reeds? they don't increase the air velocity to the motor that much IMO. I swapped them in on my big sled and still jetted down on all fuel circuits and haven't had a problem yet, also running pipes, bigger carbs and bigger "flow" and compression.

I was waiting for you to comment on that. :) lol. I will go with the vforce reeds if I need to replace the reeds.

Found a crack on my sled in the aluminum. Is this a big deal? Should I weld it up. It's small and if you are facing my sled on the RHS just below where the spare belt sits off to the right.

No more springs! Off to get powdercoated!

Is that a shock mount that's cracked? If it is, I would get it fixed before putting them back on.

On that tail light, you have to drill out those rivets that hold those wire protectors on then you can just disconnect the plug from underneath the seat. I actually left those protectors off my wifes sled and used adel clamps to hold them in place so her Powder Keg tunnel box would fit.

There are alot of braces for chassis stiffening that you can get for your machine. There are shock tower braces, a brace that goes in behind the chaincase, A completely different motor mount. These all help with keeping everything allinged under torque. They are all off the 440 race chassis. Also the ski spindles off the 440 are wider and have completely fixed the problem of the ski bushings wearing out.

Does anyone want to go ride down in fernie this weekend, I hear its unreal conditions still?

for my money i'd ditch the v-force and go to boysen. have had v-force and will not purchase again. boysen performed much better, throttle response is instant. anyway you take it for what it is worth, probably like the break in procedure, which i still stand by. but what do i know. ;)

Sorry for the crappy pic but see where my hand is pointing and there's that rounderd triangle with a hole in it, just on the other side of that is where it's cracked. I can't find it on a parts breakdown. I find the round thing below it but not that part.

Looks like the attachment bracket for your bumper, if that's the case then I wouldn't worry about it. Does it have a nutplate on the backside of it?

Rowdy, that has to be your bumper mount tab, the bolt comes from the inside through that mount hole and screws into your bumper. I wouldn't worry too much about it, maybe add a little JB Weld to it to stiffen it up some.
