Summer Diesel

When does summer diesel usually become available? I want to fill a slip tank but would rather get the extra btu's out of summer diesel.

Should start to see it in a month or so, or call a local coop or Ufa. They will tell you when they start to get there summer shipments, will still be a blend for a bit until the volume in the tanks get diluted though

I was told by a buddy at Suncor refinery that they were switching this week.

Guessing as late as possible, when they can charge $1.36 in AB and $1.50 in BC for winter stuff.

transition months for diesel are typically October and April

I believe April 1, the Petro's will start switching over....?

A few of the bulk dealers around us keep summer diesel all year round. They will bring it out as long as they can pump it. Usually down to -18 or so. A few calls to some bulk dealers might get you some now.
