Think I may have figures this arctic crap out..... raised rear of sled for a good 5 mins 4 ft in air running with rad cap off and a bunch of foam/ air bubbles came out then I went for a 20 min rip in the field 130f then out of nowhere high temp lite starts flashing flipped sled on its side to heat gun cooler temps and the cooler is iced right over with a pad of ice covering the cooler.... cleaned ice off cooler came back down to 140f in no time.... the fins on the cooler are cupped upwards to hold snow I’m assuming and freezing a slab of ice over cooler not allowing proper cooling....wtf ? But this does not explain why temp on dash matches cylinder and jug temps but front cooler is 25c when every where else is 65c.... changed dash to degrees C
Cause and effect the ice on the cooler is effect of a partially functioning cooling system.

I just noticed my heat shield tab is broke as well, I have 2.5 seasons and 3000 km on mine though. As for silver oil it'll just be like that again if replacing with stock gears and stock chain. Do yourself a favor and get venom products gears and hyvo chain and ditch the auto tensioner......... or go belt drive like I did

^^that was my next question.... they are replacing the aluminum pos with another aluminum gear? You would think there would be a steel upgraded gear they would install? Or is this a wear item and not covered under warranty?

Wear item as far as i know, but maybe theyll cover it, mine was toast after 800 km, was missing teeth on the bottom gear, auto tensioner was maxed right out and oil was just full of metal, slappwd a belt drive on and forgot all about it lol

Well you can fix it cheaper with parts from venom, ive done that to my last three cats before this one. I went with 2.63 on the belt drive, works awesome

It's a dick to pull the chaincase apart on the Cat so mine will get a steel gear at the end of season. I'm due to change the oil again on mine but it's easy to do just that.

I put the steel gear in mine and then purchased some bolts to replace the garbage torx bolts on the chain case. Now the cover is much easier to remove

Dealer just called.... water pump needs replacing... removed thermostat and found black O-rings like material wrapped in thermostat not allowing it to open they think the material is from water pump O-rings or seals or impeller itself.... this cat is eating itself...haha

Interesting. I should get out the heat gun on mine next ride. I was chalking it up to chopped flap life but maybe I have an issue also.

I need to figure out how to get my gauge to read degrees. All I’ve ever found was the temp bars for coolant, egt, intake etc. I have a digital temp gun if all else fails which I like to do to confirm over sotp anyways.
