no fireball on my alpha and it runs like a scalded cat phuck it works good. don't want to do the reflash and ruin a good thing. I always let mine idle down before I kill it though, not sure if that helps or not?

A new one
Any noticeable difference in the new one?
The only problem with the original clutch was the cracks in the cover. The new 'light weight' clutch works fine.
Yeah, l wasn't thrilled about getting it either based on some of the bad reports. Because Cat made it a safety recall the dealers are obligated to do it. Especially if you are in for some warranty work.
It's going in for a clutch this week so I guess it'll get updated. The only problem with the original clutch was the cracks in the cover. The new 'light weight' clutch works fine.
'light weight' did you remove the ring gear weight?

A little joke referring to all the balance holes drilled in the cover.
Yup, no issues here either. Mine was dry after the first couple rides. I got nervous after hearing all the horror stories, so I tore my intake/hood apart and siliconed it all up. I put the hood back in with dielectric grease on the rubber seal, and still no moisture. I have checked after every couple rides. I'm thinking some people are messing that seal to putting the hood on.Just shows u u have to line it up right and then it fits like a glove I actually added a small foam seal all the way around and have checked it after riding deep powder and it was bone dry in there besides the little bit of oil in the throttle bodies !

Side note, I can't get over how easy the hood comes off these sleds. Really makes things quick to work on!
Moisture in a wire harness?Gonna pull my hood off and have a look for moisture after the last week of riding deep stuff.
Anyone run into issues with the start/reverse button not working? I think it was freezing but not sure as I haven’t tried it after warming it up. It wasn’t working last attempt though.
I find it's easy to get snow behind it, and then it doesn't work.Gonna pull my hood off and have a look for moisture after the last week of riding deep stuff.

Looked all good when I pulled mine apart but greased the seal anyway.need to pull mine apart after a couple deep rides and check it. I was getting minimal moisture so went through and added a foam seal and found a couple spots with a flashlight so siliconed them. Haven't greased the seal yet but that will be next.
Buy the old Suzuki springs.Just pulled my hood off today and it’s dry and clean in the air box also with just an external silicone and greasy seal.
Found my first broken spring from pipe to y-pipe though. Did I read somewhere that there is a p/n for a better one or just buy another of the same? Does the silicone actually do anything?
Found this too. Must have tore the wires out while bootfn ice out from beside the chaincase.

Buy the old Suzuki springs.
They are cheaper and a thicker guage.
