My stock track is showing alot of wear for just over 1100 miles this year. Dealer said polaris won't warrenty polaris said it's from excessive side hilling 樂 I relly like the stock track performance wish it was fully clipped though. I looked around and can't find any take off 2.6 or 3" stock tracks. I like how stock track works climbs good and doesn't tranch skis 6-8 inches out of the snow. Track seems to work great in the trees too. I been really liking the 2.6 my XM's with 3" seemed to go through slids faster. Also notice on my passed 3 sleds with 3" the lugs role back fast like 1000-1500 miles. Even on deep days the 2.6 takes me anywhere i want generally expecially with the turbo. Trying to decide get another stock 2.6 or 3" and buy clips or try comoplast 3X, 2.8 comcor or 2.5 peek???? I don't want to give up any performance at all or spend days tuning suspension when i find it really good now. Has anyone upgraded the stock track ? Obviously do drivers and anti stab if i do

I have about 500km on mine and it is showing wear on the inside in between the track clips. I could smell rubber burning at times when I was trail riding. Dealer told me they are using a softer compound in the track and when trail riding to use the scratchers. So next trip I used the scratchers up to Renshaw and back and no smell of rubber burning. There is another thread about this and sounds like guys are just clipping the rest of the track and that is solving the problem. Excessive sidehilling, haha, thats one of the traits that Polaris boasts about! My son put an 3X on his, made quite a difference. Had to replace drivers and went to the steel shaft, also anti-stab kit.

If you sidehill these it will chew the track windows. Even my gouged out track took clips very well and has not got any worse.

Could i send you some pictures and see if mine is about the same shape yours was in if its not to far gone i may tey it then

2017 snow check 163 3" with 200 miles is showing track wear and I always smell rubber regardless of the snow depth and or riding style. The computer screen is bubbling and it's constantly telling me I have low oil and the paint is flaking off the tunnel. The POS is stored indoors and by all rights has had an exceptionally easy season...haven't been out as work and injury got in the way. The sled is literally a POS...right down to the scratchers...look at the scratchers that came on the RMKs two years ago and then take a look at the new ones...absolutely garbage!

280 conquer=junk. Saw it. Trench monster.
2.5 peak=junk. Owned it. Stay away. Can't explain it but it just doesn't work.
3.2-no experience.

Conquer track isn't junk. It's Like a old attack 20 track. Run it backwards. Hard to believe but Ive seen it. 2 days on forward. Turned it around for a couple days and Wala. Works great. Handles better and stop trenching. I know a few guys who turned it around and they say the same.

"Turn it around backwards, it's perfect now, see? "
"Yea but you are still trenching, getting stuck and other sleds are beating you."
"Yea but my track is on backwards. Cool huh?"

I'm thinking i will keep the 2.6 for a spare and got with a 3 polaris track or X3 or 3.2. Seem to be the only 3 good sold options for deep days. I have a stock sled for days that have less snow so don't care about a track for spring or low snow conditions.

Rode an Axys from truck to trail booth at McBride without scratcher down like all my group and when I got there track was smoking, I think these sliders are garbage and this is what's causing issues.

I melted my sliders off at Gorman a couple weeks ago too. The scratchers don't do anything with the 3" track and frozen trails in the morning. All that heat can't be any good for the track.

I put skidoo scratchers on the same ones that come on an XM or t3. 2.6 or 3" the work awesome and you can reverse for days and not break one
