Came back online at 5:38, not sure what the problem was. My heater is set to "auto", been snowing here off and on for three days so I don't think that was the issue.

Finally got my Starlink after a bit of a rodeo with Fedex. I'm already suspicious. The unit looks like it's been used before. There's a couple of pinch marks in the cable on the router end.
What are people doing to get the cable thru the exterior wall?
How good is the coverage in your house? I may have a way in that gets the cable in the basement. Is the coverage good or should I look at coming thru the wall on the main floor?

News is saying that the Russians tried to jam the Starlink signal over Ukraine but Starlink was able to fend them off. That’s pretty impressive if it’s true.

Sounds like it's true. Granted SpaceX has been chasing a few US Military contracts for some time now, defeating jamming attempts by adversaries will be a part of the qualification for these contracts.

All depends on where you need to install .. .
I used an old sat disk mount to it out from under the eave, ran cable up in through soffit board, through attic, then dropped down in interior wall next to a recepticle ...$3 wall plate from PA to tidy up the hole where it comes through the wall ....

I have the rectangular dish and the usb end is a bit awkward shape ... It's not going through a 1" hole in anything thicker deeper than 1/2" ....hole has to be oversized or ovaled to accommodate it

I was hoping they would fix that because that was the most annoying part of installing the old style dish. I think the new ones are able to be disconnected at the dish as well.

I used my old Bell Satt. J arm on my roof, then came through an attic vent. I am trying leaving the Starlink router in my attic for now. The new network adapter for the rectangle dish hardwired is much slower than the Wi-Fi for some reason.

Great for those wanting to take to the lake, too bad it has a price tag with it.

Has anyone tried to boost the signal from a starlink wifi? We have a starlink unit in our camp but it is about 300 to 400 ft away from my trailer so I can't get a signal. Is it possible to boost the signal so it would reach out a lot farther? Or, pick up a weak signal and make it strong enough to use?

Thanks for any input.
