Put my deposit in last year in May.
Got an email last week - they are getting ready to ship on March 30.
Can’t wait. Everyone around me has Shaw. I contacted them and was told it would cost $100k to bring their service a couple hundred feet at most. Right now I have a bridge set up from my neighbor and share their internet. It’s better than a Smarthub with 28 megabits download but its not a long term solution.
I still have the roof mount from Explornet and I’m hoping the diameters match.
We had the cable run down the wall and into the basement. Basement floor is about 5 ft down.

How is the coverage throughout everyone’s homes? I can run the cable to the main floor but don’t really want to punch a hole through the wall if I don’t have to.

I got the round dish. It is made like an avalanche shovel handle, two spring loaded retainers that snap into holes drilled in the mount. I just used the supplied tripod mount. It has holes in the feet, I screwed it to the roof with 3/8 wood screws and siliconed up the holes.

Sure. But you gotta wrestle Romeo for it.

He says it cuts out a lot. I just have it sitting on the front porch where I had yours. Gonna put it on the roof on the first.
Be interested to hear a review in the coming weeks. Xplornet has not been brutal but has not been good either. Haven't signed up yet for Mr Musk's service

I heard you can put the new square dish in "pass-through" mode now so that your own firewall/router to pull an external IP address. Has anyone done this yet?

Explornet hasn’t been to bad for us. From our location we do have direct line of sight to the tower tho which is very helpful. Have had those chitty days where it drops below 10mbps but a reboot of the system seems to help. This is a pretty average speed for us

Not bad, how much is it a month? Do you have unlimited data?
