Yep bypassed the starlink router. Using a ubiquity unify dream router. working as it should for over a year now after having nothing but problems.

I'm not sure exactly what model it is, I bought it last february it's just the standard one. I've never checked when it slows down, I can't see where there would be anything as there is no large trees close and it's always in the evening. I reboot the starlink and router anytime it's running slow, sometimes it helps but not always. When it's good it's fast I can see 150mbps, it's the up and down that's the issue. Ordered a router hopefully that makes it run better.

That's a good article. I'm wondering if you put the Starlink in bypass mode and use your own hardware whether or not your hardware is actually pulling an IP address from Starlink as the ISP or if its pulling an internal IP from the local Starlink hardware.

that should be super easy to see in the router settings/logs
