Telesat Lightspeed LEO is what the project is called. They are planning 198 satellites. SpaceX had over 600 satellites in orbit before they started selling commerical service. Sounds like it will be a giant flop.
Well of course it will. The Liberals conceived it. But no biggy for them. It’s tax payer money being used as seed money.

If he plans it right by next year his cell phone wifi will kill rodges and telus

whatsapp wifi calling works great

We will be getting star link at the cabin
Rogers is a partner with him and will offer star link cell coverage to their customers.

I read about someone putting a gen 3 in their truck, mounted inside the sleeper and getting good results. So I yoinked the one from our camper and stuck it on a shelf in my sleeper. Watched both Xfinity and Cup races on my phone while hauling loads over 2 days southeast of Wabasca. Little to no phone service at all out in the area, had wifi calling and texting, watched TV using the bell Fibe app.

Well that's deadly... I may have to give that a try this winter.

I guess that’s why it’s slower than it use to be
I usually get about 80-90Mbit now. I think at the very beginning I was getting 120-140Mbit. I can't really tell the difference in speed for what I do but I do know that latency is much better now.
