nope. Tons of companies only do 95, mine is strictly because of the truck not being capable of going faster.

Carrot, untold rules of the road. It is far safer to travel at 105k than 95k. If you are doing 95k slow down to let people pass...do not speed up...ever. When coming up behind someone to pass remember 3 people are at risk, so get by that vehicle as fast as possible. Better to have a speeding ticket than a head on at 220k. Do not cause long lineups and do not travel in long line ups. And last but least, never ever travel side by side in a passing lane. Follow these rules to avoid being the jerk everyone hates on the road.

I agree. If you want to pass someone that is going 90 in a 100 zone, and you pull out to pass them at the 100km speed limit, it's going to take an uncomfortable length of time to get by them. Unless you've got a heck of a long open road in front of you, I believe it's better to get by them quick then get back in your lane. People need to remember, you're not supposed to pull back in your lane after passing someone until you leave enough space between you and the vehicle you passed. Sure the letter of the law says "never speed" but to follow that literally in every case, especially in the case of passing on a divided highway is just not very bright in most cases, especially in BC with all the corners and hills there. I recently had a semi driver tell me that he hates it when people drive beside him, because he said 'what if a retread comes of a tire' and someone's beside him. Bad news. I don't drive beside trucks on the highway and I get by them as quick as I can. If someone doesn't have the skill to go faster than 100 kmh once in awhile for limited distances, maybe they shouldn't be driving a vehicle.

X2. Legally, law states that you can NOT speed while passing. But it is SAFER to get past vehicles faster, imo
