you gonna be healed up enough by then that you can ride that long?

I'm sure it will be fine as long as we're not racing (the whole time). I should have close to 4 months of riding in before then, but only time will tell for sure.

whatever you need in your home province is all you need here then too.. im 95% sure but check it out if you want..

Very nice list or chart of who is going and when.. props!

For myself, i have a 02 chevy sliverado crew cab in pewter or silver... with a 6 x 12 trailer ..

put me down then for going out on the weds too... coming home on Monday hopefully in one piece...haha

i am going to see if Ray and myself can meet somewhere on the highway or where ever and then we can pick a spot and save some spaces for everyone else
once we get all set up...

im already soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! lol

the thing is this.. the day we pick to go to the plane crash.. well we should be driving to the staging area..
this mite be hard considering some like me have me trailer converted to my sleeping quarters and set up
so i can stay in it...

hopefully we can pool for the ones that cant leave Macgillivery with there main unit...

you can ride to that point but now you have to cross the highway and cross private land and then drive on the roads of the town down at the bottom of the hill to get to the staging area.. this is ok when its just 3 or 4 bikes..maybe... but you take your chances.. i dont like doing this.. have only done it once before.

So the plane crash is a shorter ride and will only take half a day.. so we have time to go for an early evening ride also once we get back, have an early supper maybe and
head out again... probably do the repeater to the comunication towers.. thats a shorter ride too...

there are 2 good rides south of the highway
airplane max 3 hours , even with taking time at time...
and the one I call riders loop close to 4-5 hours .. very scenic ..
we could just shuttle the quad over with what ever trailers we have..
and then do the rest the rides from our trailers
a good ride is the the old town of Lillie ...

WOW! i have never ridden on the plane side of the hiway.. oh wait we did the " trail of the 7 bridges," i believe.. had to ride along hiway alot from MacGillivery past that lake on the hyway and then it went in.. it takes you to the other side of the mountain ridge where the plane crash is.. have you done it?

i have the map from our club on the castle management PLUZ which is on the plane side...
the other side ( where we are camping has all the other great rides mentioned earlier in the thread..

and then there is the ghost town ride.. that i heard is cool too.. never done it..
crap we need 2 weeks to see it all!

for me that would be great to do that bigger loop never been..just another place to add where i went..lol

but sooo many have not been on the other side rides too.. and those are super cool too..
will have to see what we can get in in those 3 or 4 days..

but yes, we could on the plane crash ride..go there earlier a bit and come back and stay on that side,, that could work...
stay on that side for like 12 hrs..haha..maybe more.. sleep none... drink..lots...lol

a fyi, no one likes the whirlwind tour, things go a lot slower than you think. you'll also need some radios so the front and those at the rear can stay in touch. 6 hr ride is probably enough. and if it's going to be a highspeed run i'm out now.

ok here are the directions as easy as i can make them..

get to coleman ...
drive thru coleman till you come to the end of coleman..there you will see 61 st..turn right ( FYI ONLY.. right after 61 st on the main hiway there is a snow gate to stop traffic in the winter on the right of the no 3 hiway.. 61 is right before this up and down gate.. )

Go up 61 st a bit and you come to sort of an intersection..turn right onto 22 ave

As soon as you are on 22 Ave you will see ahead of you a Y...

stay to the left which will be 23 ave..... it will lead into 63 st and that will lead back into 23 ave (same street just it chances to 23 rd again... take it all the way to the camping area...

*****************************************************************************************************************************************

FYI ONLY:
FEW NOTES : you save about 1/2 hr if you go the 22x from Okotoks to black diamond and then down the 22X or you can cut over at Nanton also...
but the main hwy down to the 3 west does not have as much curves in it... maybe better for large trailers.. but i have seen many large trailers being pulled on the 22X.... you can check for yourselfs on the map...

also go to goggle maps and bring up Coleman and click to view closer and closer and then street view will come up.. you can find the ave and streets i listed and get fimiliar with the surrundings at those turns...

when you are on the final ave which is 23 rd it takes you there.. you go under the powerlines and keep going.. you will eventully come up to a private trailer park to your right and right after that is the big open long field where everyone camps...

cant miss it.. it pretty big.. and goes back a little way.. at that time we will know how many are coming and then we can pick an area suitable... not hard to find someone really...

and NO there wont be any whirlwind tours... this is site seeing average driving stuff.. no racin...

for those of you who want to see the camping area ... go to goggle bring up coleman beam into 61 and then go to 23 rd ...go to street view and follow it right to the camping area..
