Sled deck on 1/2 ton?

this is from too much weight

Might not be able to see it fully from pic as it's in the metal bin, but if it's out they are bent up both sides over 2 inchs


This from experience not a engineering dough head that builds it and don't care after

So how much weight is too much on a 1/2 ton semi-floater? 1000 lb, 1500 lb, 2000 lb, 2500 lb, 3000 lb, 3500 lb, 4000 lb, 4500 lb, 5000 lb.

The rear GAWR rating on my F150 HD is 4800 lb...what do you think it should be rated at.

Nice picture of a damaged axle...maybe it is from that Ford Raptor the guy jumped at the motocross track...destroyed his truck and went to the hospital. Who knows the true history of that axle...maybe the truck was overloaded and they were pounding down service roads or hit the ditch at speed...never know.

Everyone says you can put a deck, 2 sleds, 2 guys and all the gear you can fit plus extra gas under the deck in a half ton. Is the Internet wrong?

Maybe it wasnt even the jump that did it? Maybe he was hauling around two sleds on a deck and had weakened everything?

Maybe if you only had thirty pounds of air in tires instead of 100. Should up the load rating 280 lbs, drink more lite beer, less weight again
