2017 sidewinder 162, cr lightweight hood/headlight delete, cr intake and straight pipe, EVO 260 tune, fox QS3 shocks all around, upgraded to the cr suspension brackets as I bent mine last year, 153 tunnel extension with ITek bumper, skinz seat, cfr boondocks bars, munster finger throttle, C3 belt drive 2.42 gearing, apex primary clutch, nytro secondary, 8DN belt and a few more odds and ends, weight full of fuel and rtr 602lbs. Last year I couldn’t keep a belt on this thing, with the help from some wicked dudes who know Yamaha’s, Jason, Randy, Jerry, Tyson we got this sled clutch and belt temps way down, I rode a stock sidewinder with a pipe and intake this past weekend and can honestly say my sled with the tune feels like 60plus horsepower more. Feels like a whole new sled! Pretty pumped for the season.

Looks good. I should have used my Nytro primary clutch last ride but I wanted to try the OEM primary with this setup. Are you pulling 8800 with your setup? I’m concerned the 47* helix is too steep for mine, but I had new stm weights in and may have just been too heavy. My Nytro primary is dialed in with Daltons so next ride I’ll know if I need a helix change or not.

I couldn't read the gauge, the snow was too setup and no really long pulls last weekend, I was just hanging on lol. I have to be close to 9000rpm, I am running dalton QAY-70's empty, I have some QAY-62's that we thought we might have had to swap in but it pulled the 70's, need to find out what rpm I'm at though. I used to always hit the limiter before with the stock clutches but didn't hit it once last weekend. A lot of guys go with the 47 degree helix in the boosted yamahas, I have a 45 sitting in my garage but the 47 is staying on, it rips man, what secondary spring are you running? Also make sure you align your clutches, mine are bang on with the hurricane tool, and if you swap out your primary you may need to re-align.

I’m have the epi purple set at 0-1. I also bought the Hurricane tool couple years ago and have my offset sitting good with either clutch combo I’m on. Lol. I also run Dalton 70’s in the apex primary and find they are good for me.

Well we are setup pretty much the same then, not sure what tune you have.

Also installed the ice age elevate spindles, it is definitely easier to initiate a side hill and throw around, the added height is great but they suck on the trail, push hard in the corners, it’s a mountain sled so who cares but just letting ya know that all three of us that have these have noticed the same on the trail. Still worth doing if you feel like blowing $1500 on spindles lol 🤑

They sure look good! Sounds awesome and looks like you guys that clutching figured out buddy
