shock swap 07 xrs-08xp

I have a friend that is giving me a set of fox floats off of his 07 xrs. I heard they are 1" longer than the xp shocks. Will they work or will they cause issues with the handling or anything else?

There are many who say the 08 and 09 XP's are very front-heavy and hard steering. The 2010 XP's have a shorter front shock than the 08 and 09 and there is an aftermarket spindle available that lowers the mount of the front shock to do the same thing. So: my guess is that running longer shocks will probably adversely affect your handling.
