This thread was an interesting read for me. School bus mechanic 1966 to 2011. I did convert one in the mid 90s. Used it as a hunting fishing bus. If I was to do it again I would for sure make it a hauler too. Raising the roof for more head room is actually a pretty easy mod on a school bus for any one considering doing it. Get rid of all the windows not needed and your half way there.

Finally got the back doors done...
A little darker than planned, pics two years old and I don't remember which way the bus was facing when the pic was taken...paint has faded a lot as well.
Was going to go something like this, another 400 to edit artwork, nope.
Put the number of the bus back on...A modified JD logo.

Got away for a week with brother and a couple of buddies ... Kearney Ontario, just north of Huntzville.
Last pic, we found a guy lost on the trail [bent over], his son [in the center behind the ATV] ...with a big goofy grin says " hey thanks for finding my dad, I think my mom will happy 'bout that".
He was trying to get back to camp to fix his broken clutch leaver, no map, no phone, no water, first time he'd been there. Not a great plan.
