Drove from Prince Albert to battleford this morning and there ain't enough out there. Should be some rideable areas after this next storm I'm thinking.

Had this sent to me last night,

This is out on Emma Lake somewhere. So if anyone rides that lake watch out for it, with the amount of sled traffic on that lake someone is gonna end up hurt if they clip that.

Around lloydminster getting to the point where 4 wheel drive is workin hard to get around for hunting. Firms up a bit we will have a good base and with the snow forecast for tomorrow we should have enough. Try it out this weekend ....after plowing the yard.

Shell Lake and North west of there is good enough to ride. Talked to a few that have rode already. After this storm the riding area should really expand!!

Nothing significant East of Balgonie. (not that there usually is anyways...) See what happens after today. Almost enough to let attempt to let the little feller loose on his 120 though. We should hook up for a ride this year Brenno

Dad says about 4-6" up in Canora Area....not enough to do anything yet

Have a friend working up in meadow logging and he said he woukd take his sled out yet. Need another dump.

Was out riding west of Prince Albert the other day just to get out, blow the carbon out, and make some clutching adjustments. Fields are pretty thin, in the trees is better. Found a nice 3' deep drift to play on that was 400 yards long. The snow is just fluff, no traction in it at all. Sled would barely get on top of the drift as it just wanted to sink into it.

Need a couple more storms to have some fun.

Went out again yesterday. Trailer up to Weyakwyn Lake as we heard from a few people they had headlight deep snow up there. Ohhhh were they wrong. Ski-loop deep was about the best we found.

Caught up with the local sled club guys and they were out reopening trails as they had one heavey wet snow fall that downed a bunch of trees everywhere. Most lakes have about 12-16" of ice according to those guys, we did see some ice shacks out. Don't take that for granted though, I broke threw some ice on Cheeyas Lake which led to about 60 yards of water skipping. Massive ice ridge at the south end of Weyakwyn Lake just north of Ramsay Bay.

Trails aren't in bad shape, there is more snow in the bush definitely, just not much area to go play in it. The small lakes have about 3 1/2" of snow on them, the odd spot were it kinda drifted/fell in might have 5. One thing nice about the lakes though, they all froze flat and super smooth.

All and all, good day of exploring, got to dial in some clutching, wound out buddy's '15 quite a few times. In total we put on about 60 miles.

Four straight days of +4 highs here right now. Bye Bye snow, back to ground zero.

MK4, +10 in Lucky Lake later this week. Still want to try sledding there this weekend?
