Yes bring your own phone, month to month no contract, 400gb between the 2 phones. Is that bringing your own phone?
Koodo (Telus owned) has it for free also.$35/month with 40 gb. Not available on Public Mobile. It's called call control and you just ask them to add it. Pretty sure it's free of charge.
So is there any downside to Koodo versus Telus?
I turned 5G off when my phone was new. Never turned it back on.Most phones you can turn off 5G, or at least make 4G or LTE the preferred network.
5G works great in a perfect world, but it doesn't pass through buildings like 4g or 3g does, and most places you're too far from the tower for it to be a benefit.
Most times the limiting factor is the cell towers internet connection anyway, I've played around with testing internet speeds on 4g and 5g a few times and wound up with almost identical speeds in the 25-100mbps range everytime.

Interesting reply, Ron, so with 5G being faster and most likely more peeps playing games would you say that bogs the system down ? Also with a booster does it seem to make a difference if your on 5G or LTE? Been with Telus for ever but in some area's not so good like in/around saunders etc... Was thinking of a booster but common sense tells me that you cannot boost something that is not there to begin with. As for carriers i am sticking with telus cost a bit more but Rogers sux azz as the kids had that and it was terrible skiing for them. Bell is good buddy has that and works quite well around DT country just weird sometimes i guess. Back in the day had a bag phone and got out almost everywhere in the patch or simply just look for a pile of cans/cigs and that's the spot. What is reccomended for a booster if a guy gets 1?All the networks are getting bad, as there all so loaded. On of my employees lives on south side of Edmonton I had to get him a booster as there is very sporadic service and his in a dense populated area. I find side it went to. 5 G it has gotten so much worse. I’m working out in St.Paul and lac la bitche. The service in both towns with Telus is terrible, can get at the best 2 bars. No internet may work at times. Don’t remember it being this bad even worse when I have to make my $534 payments for my corporate account. When you call in to inquire or complain your call gets cut off or the attendant from India could give a ratts a$$. But what do you do, just keep paying and making the best of it.
Always wondered about that, thanks ABmax, good info. Not the hype these Co's say it is, no wonder i have that turned off for a reason works better. Most phones you can turn off 5G, or at least make 4G or LTE the preferred network.
