Riding and camping during week

My work schedule does not align the what I would like. Most of my days off start on a Saturday or Sunday and by the time I get home, pack trailer, load quad etc, the weekend is over and most people are heading home from camping.

Just wundering if there are people who stay out camping and riding during the week who would not ming meeting new people.

This being home from Sunday till friday and not getting out riding really sucks.


I can handle the camping by myself but riding is not such a good idea.

load up and go out friday night, lots do, or get out before 10am on saturday before everyone starts riding. otherwise post when your going.

Shift work is great but sometimes work weekends when everyone else camps.

I switch to shift work this time of year just so I can get out during the week. I'm tired of trying to fight for a camping spot on the weekend.

Totally agree. Val and I come out mid week and find nice camp spots.

Having every second friday off helps too, nice to leave thursday night, friday morning and not have to rush.

arff has it beter yet, he only works 2 days a week if he is unlucky, me i usually take off on a wed or thursday, but lately money is calling. lol

Making a post here has seemed to be good. I have got out to meet and ride with some great people.

Is anyone camping and riding July 26-31. I may not get any of the long wekend off, so i have to make plans for these 6 days.

My friend and I are headed out tomorrow morning, just for the day, out around Alder Flats area, anyone else maybe headed out? Does anyone know if the staging area is west of highway 53 ?

Hiway 53 runs east and west.
Alder Flats is straight west of hiway 13, 20 min. North of hiway 53.

A friend of mine told me to follow 22 south until you see sign for Rimbey( which is 53), if you google earth that intersection it's gravel pit on west side. Which is where they stage. Or is the riding at Alder Flats better? Appreciate any input.

There are better places to stage north of hiway 53. About 3-4 km is a road that heads west...
