Hey guys Can am deal feel through now i have an option to buy a 2009 rhino sport edition 509 original km's on it or a new Viking? wife likes the viking

Im a dad with 3 young kids under 4 so a rhino with a rear seat is what im looking for as Im a hunter and need reliable, mtn goat that i can handle small trails with or take my kids out in...

The VIKING? the concerns? I hate the 4x4 shift nob? Its now round just like the head lights and located just above the head lights... can you say accident waiting to happen? I accidently do this in my 2013 suburban almost once a month in the snow... but they have a built in safety the Viking doesnt...

The skid plate is solid steel and welded on???? How the heck are you suppose to clean the gumbo out of that?

another thing I have a 2012 grizzly the year they started building them state side and imhop it took a cheap step backwards? Just look at how hard it is to manipulate those stupid plastic body screws???

Anyhow just my 2 cents

my problem... loose out on a wicked used Rhino ( i know and trust the old lady farmer who had it) buy a viking or wait for the rhino replacement... i don't drive crazy but i sure like the small size of the rhino for hunting small trails.

They say the viking is only 5 inches wider but feels like 12 inches minimum when you see them side by side...

Anyone have an experience with Rhino's please let me know... she wants 11k for it, always heated garage parked and riden three times per year to cheak on her family farms... hard to justify to wife when the new viking is 13k???? I just can't help but feel the rhino is a better machine?

any input and opinions will be taken greatfully

Wow, 11 K for a used rhino...

Even at 509 km, sometimes that's worse than lots of km

Sounds like way too much money

Have u looked into the kawi 4 seat tyrex

Thanks for the advise... i know the lady really well so im willing to a go a little higher for her unit... trust goes a long way in my pocket as im not a mechanic. I looked at the Teryx 4 and love the machine but some changes they made in 2014 is causing belt failures again due to heat build up and i understand it's a big job. They did a recall but for 2015 never changed the design. I have always liked the Rhino and Teryx wish i would've grabbed a 2012/13

Tough choice... ill have to price one out tomorrow do you own one?

Just sold my 09 rhino with 1200 km on it it was mint and had extras like the full roll cage and rear seat 3" lift bigger tires and rims full yoshimira exhaust dynojet fuel map system and a snow blade .....$9000.00 and I thought I did well. $11000.00 seems steep but if your getting what you want pay it.

Just my opinion, but I would rather put my kids in a legit 4 seater SXS, than a 2 seater not meant for rear passengers. I know you can put a cage on it, etc, they just don't seem quite as safe as the 4 seaters. Just what I would do. When your kids get bigger at least they will have room in a 4 seater. But they are way bigger...and of course more money.

Have an 07 Rhino where I work, and if you're going with one....power steering.

I haven't driven a Viking, but I imagine it's a better ride. Just not a fan of the Rhino. I know some guys are though.

I have an 07 Rhino that I use strictly to plow the driveway. It handles a six ft blade like nothing. Used to have it on the trails and its good. Hunting i found the exhaust a little loud. Personally I don't think I would purchase one again but for a glorified tractor around the acreage its perfect.

When you change oil don't use automotive oil it wrecks that pos wet clutch. Make sure your oil is comparable for that clutch, my neighbour wreck two using the wrong oil.

Well, If you looking for a 4 seater, I would give that terryx another good look, lot of people like theirs on here, and it would have been my second choice.... IMO !!
