So who is deep frying or oven baking the bird this year.




I am deep frying 3 different days.

1 at the firehall for a work dinner. 2 at home for family dinners..

You be careful with that knee. That's some heavy duty cooking for a gimped up Captain..........hehehehe

Our bird is done the traditional way. All spiced up and put into the oven. The only thing missing were the giblets this year. Darn..........I love the heart and the gizzard!

Bought a fresh bird this year. Cleaned and spiced it and put it into the freezer until the big day.......

buying a turkey fryer this year, dug this thread out thinking there would be more conversation surrounding injecting and not injecting the bird!

I've deep fried lots of turkeys and have found that if you inject anything into it it's best to know beforehand that you like the taste of it first I've been disappointed a few times.
