I'm a new rider here on the forum and I'm from red deer. I'd love to get in on this fun! Give me a shout if there's room ! I ride a brand new can am XMR 1000 and have been riding all my life. If I could rate my skill level on a scale of 1 to 10 I would say I'm about 9.5 thanks

I'm not sure on a skill level per say but I've found myself in some very precarious situations that left people in amazement that I pulled it off. I don't drink a whole lot and never when I ride but I do like to sip down a few after a fun day.

If anyone is interested there's a really nice trail I've been riding just outside of red deer off my front step. Haven't seen any cops yet but I'm sure they are out there. Not really a concern to me

It's a secret trail where I go in the evenings or when ever. If I posted where it was I'm sure I would ruin it for my self. You half to cross over a rural highway where peace officers frequent. The price for a good ride is worth the ticket for me I guess. It's only two seconds your on the road and I've crossed it on a quad probably 50 times with out an issue but there's always a chance I guess. He He never jumped a fire before! Sounds like fun though

It's really a nice ride that's close to home with a couple really nice mud holes. I also ride on my father inlaws land 20 mins from red deer complete with sand dunes, It's a fun place as well. Until the cows go in next month that is.

ok my concern Is that there are no trails you can legally ride around red deer unless they are on private property. it is not legal to ride in ditches of numbered hwys or secordary hwys. the rcmp, county sherrif, etc will love to give you some welcome to alberta paperwork. I am also thinking you are not allowed on county of red deer roads with a quad, atv etc. as to you not being concerned with getting caught etc, that is precisely how riding areas around red deer got shut down

are you new to red deer? Alberta? how old are you? most of us are 40 plus.
